When I bought the Mav I did so in compact. I'd like to put a 700 barrel on her. I have a gen1 impact that I can part out barrels and bottles but not shrouds. What's my alternatives? Anyone done this?

You could always run the ldc directly on the barrel with no shroud or run the shorter maverick shroud. Will it look goofy, probably ….. but it should work

I tried it with no shroud. Harmonics spray pellets like shot gun!. I'll play with the your shroud idea. Let you know.

I know when I added the cf tube over my liner the groups moved up about an inch and tightened up. So the shroud could help with stiffness….maybe. So many different little things could be at play, and I’m not knowledgeable enough to figure them out so I keep experimenting.

I have a .22 Impact barrel/shroud assembly in 700mm. It fits my Maverick with no modifications. One screw and less than a minute.

Okay I just changed the whole Barrel assembly over to the 700 mm with heavy liner. I'm shooting 25 grains. I upped my FPS about 50 ft and about 4 clicks right 4 clicks down and I was zeroed @ 42. now I'm shooting 879 FPS on 3. 130/ 100. I want to be able to shoot 34 grain and slugs. It's raining today and cold so we'll have to wait for another day. I'll put the big bottle on it and step out to my bigger range tomorrow! Looks like it's going to fine..
