I like my .22 Maverick vp with a 600mm barrel because it is accurate, lightweight, powerful at low reg pressures, excellent shot count with low fill pressure, hasn't had any problems, parts are priced well , easy to change caliber or barrel length and was reasonably priced . I've only changed the hammer weight and added a CF bottle, tuned it for 25.4gr pellets at 912 fps and leave it alone . My only dislike is the non ridged barrel system they use but understand it's to keep the weight low and the clamp for the cocking rod could be better . Now that I stopped jumping around with different pellet weights and re-tuning it I like it even more . It does shoot the lighter slugs pretty good as well .

IF it's free or close to it, grab it. Worse case scenario you have to rebuild the regs, really worse case scenario is they totally hosed it and you'll learn how to fix it. Been there, done that. Not that hard. Oh and don't believe the BS about they shift POI.
I do have FX crown .22 & .25 impact both perfect

I love my Maverick! No issues yet and has been awesome to shoot.
