Maverick

There's one thing that seems to be guaranteed In 2020 and that's estimated arrival dates on shipping means nothing! Hopefully it gets to you today

So true . . . I have about 5 incoming/outgoing USPS packages right now. Just checked all the tracking #'s and they're ALL late with no updated delivery date. I know it's typically worse during the holidays but you throw in COVID this year and this is the worst I've ever seen them!

Got it.

Just got done boresighting my Trijicon, MRO, green dot sight. A little lubing of pivot points. Feels good at the shoulder, did a coupla quick fires, it's very quiet, without the supplied silencer...which is great, I can keep it short. The Prophet is rather loud with just the shroud, so it needs additional help at the end of the barrel.

The shop that I bought it from...was "supposed" to give it a going over to correct any problems...the grip is about to fall off..! I have a coupla (full sized) grips coming tomorrow, for both the Maverick and my Prophet, so not too big a deal, but, geeze guys..!

How many Maverick threads...how many will be sold ? The shops are out of them already.

Only thing the US does worse than most other places in the world, including SA, is courier stuff. Most things arrive early here and in Europe when using proper couriers (forget the post- that's like donating to charity). Granted, there are a few more people there than in South Africa, but that excuse doesn't really hold true for Europe 😆

Even around Christmas, you get all the 'holiday madness' delay apology messages and stuff usually arrives on time anyway. Small victories 🤣

Well, after two magazines thru both my Wildcat Mk III and also thru my new Maverick this morning, the biggest difference that sticks out, is that I much prefer the more vertical grip on the Wildcat, than the Mavericks more angled grip.

Sound, very close to the same.

Overall hold, mostly equal, the trigger hand comfort, goes to the Wildcat. I have a few new grips coming in the mail, one..."may" be a little more vertical.

Cocking as you might imagine, is pretty close, though a little difference can be felt. Not negative on either gun, just a small difference.

Air fill ease...(there ya go B !), the Maverick.

Accuracy, should be pretty much the same, though I shoot offhand, so it's very subjective. Today, was pretty equal with both guns.

So far, I'm liking both guns. If I can find - make a more vertical grip for the Maverick, it will take first place on the like list. I've adjusted on the power on the Wildcat a little. The original settings seem to work the best with the 18.13gr. pellets.

"B", if that's all you have to say, you need a life..! Go shooting, maybe..!?

I feel the same way about the grip angle between my MK3 and the Maverick. I like the slightly more vertical feel of the MK3 as well. Keep us posted on what aftermarket grip you prefer. I am enjoying each of them as well.

Oh, I received my Maverick a day before I was supposed to 😋. Thank you FedEx.

I think Glen's comment was funny ,wasn't my intention to offend anyone If I did I apologize

Anyway just came back from shooting my Maverick compact in .22, sweet little gun.

What speed you shooting 18.13 and to what pressure you got your regulator set to?

My Maverick out of the box: .22 Sniper

1st reg set to 145 bar (my reg)

2nd reg set to 110 bar (my reg)

Setting #7 and the factory 1.5mm hammer adjuster @ .143 (3.6322mm)

JSB 18.13 @1025fps.

on setting 5 was 984fps

Thanks 2L8

What speed did you find the best for 18.1 in FX barrel, did you try around 900 fps?

Looks like my 2nd. reg is set at around 120 BAR ,didn't have chance to chrony yet but was pretty accurate at 40y
