Snowpeak Max 1 -- I'm drooling

Looks interesting. Price is going to be outstanding I’m sure. At least 50% of an Impact. That alone will drive sales.
I read a couple of articles online (few months ago) stating the price of this gun would be $699. The performance at that price point was to rival higher priced guns.
If this ends up being true, this will be my next rifle.
This will definitely be a better alternative to the AEA Challenger IMHO....

I agree. Seems like AEA is more focused on FPE rather than quality. Their mags are junk. Triggers are too strong, and the bolt action is definitely not smooth. TO MENTION JUST A FEW THINGS

I wanted to buy one so bad but they are guns for "tinkerers". They do seem like great slug guns.
The M60 series guns are great and I want one but I think I'll hold off for this new model.

$800 USD. That's about $200 more than the m60b and or Zelos. I wonder if it'll be worth it. I may wait until I see some reviews on it.
Your comparing apples to oranges!
The M60B and Zelos are pellet guns, where the Max will be a slug shooter.
The Max is 1/3 the price of a FX Impact, and much less complicated.
Will it be as accurate?

Did you look at the power?
1100FPS .25 slugs.
46 grain .25 slug at 1100fps is 124 FPE.
Even if the numbers are exaggerated 1000FPS would be over 100 FPE
Zelos/M60b are not in the same class.

Sorry. I’m speaking in terms of my own needs. Here’s some context. I haven’t really shot slugs but so far pellets has worked for me with the Zelos. I mostly shoot small game at 20-50 yards. No more. Unless there’s benefits to shooting slugs within that distance. I think with 100fpe there will probably be no meat left. Thus questioning if it’s worth it… for me at least.

I think your choice is correct. In the typical air gun role, distances beyond 100 meters is unusual. At shorter distances, Diabolo pellets reign supreme. They are both accurate and cheaper to shoot as well as their ability to dissipate energy quickly at longer distances for safety .
