Our May Precision Rimfire match at ASC was a blazing success. Due to the continuing efforts by Bryan L to improve our targets, we were able to set up the entire match without having to change targets between stages. This also allowed us to have two squads, so the match went smoother and faster than the previous match. In the future we will be able to run 3 squads when needed. After the 10am safety briefing, the two squads got started. This month's course of fire consisted of 74 shots from 40 to 100 yards (based on the NRL22 COF with a bonus KYL stage).
Conditions were warm and not too windy, and the scores reflected this.
Thirteen shooters completed the match and we had one cold line for a target that got flipped around. We had two guests join us for the match. We also had two air rifle competitors for the match.
Stan H came out on top (again) with Bryan L coming in second (again). Jim M rounded out the podium. Overall, scores were a little lower than last month, probably due to the harder bonus stage.
Thanks to everyone that came out and shot, and a big thanks to everyone that helped take down the course.
Next match will be June 16th at range C, sight in will be open at 9, shooters meeting will start at 10. Match fee is $10, $15 for guests. Round count will be under 100 rounds, 22lr or air rifles only, bolt action or semi-auto with detachable magazine.
