Thanks for the kind words of encouragement guys. I guess perseverance has finally paid off or perhaps it’s the more I practice the luckier I get? I’d love to shoot some matches at Joe’s place but I doubt I could talk my wife into that long of a road trip.

I guess what I am also pleased with is my third 248 card. I shot 2 or 3 sighters and was spot on the bull. Then I moved over to the first bull and I dropped my first shot into the 8 ring. Wow, what that does to your mind after just shooting a 250! I was able to block that shot out because it was history and I can’t fix what was and I could only focus on what is ahead. I then went on to shoot all tens on the next 24 bulls and with that accomplishment I am more pleased. I’m not bragging but merely pointing out how much of this game is mental which is so very important.

I think spending time on these forums we focus a lot on this gun, or this equipment or that new shiny do dad. Sure equipment is important but the more I practice the more I realize that the mental aspect is just as or possibly even more important factor that isn’t discussed enough.
