My heart goes out to everyone who went through that unimaginable hurricane, how in the world. What a mess and amazing how the families there rebuild and relive is something I can't grasp.

Any members here that can share a little about the horror you went through? Wish we could help in some way, maybe a fund raiser of some sort? I'd pitch in $100.00 right off the bat. I'd even consider donating one of my PCP guns.. Maybe this sort of thing is not allowed on this site.

You need to remember that they/we go through hurricanes almost every year. Most of my relatives only reported a few branches down in their yards.

There was a serious hurricane that went through Delcambre, Louisiana just after Katrina and no one in the media seemed to notice.

Parts of the country each experience their own unique issues. Hurricanes are just reported more as they are a favorite of the climate change crowd. My part of the country experiences tornados which do quite the number on a neighbor. Not downplaying those poor people getting blasted by Ida that’s a real bad experience. But my area has been hit by a few tornados that don’t touch down. They fly over at tree top height devastating areas. We have lost tons of trees, roofs, cars you name it so far this summer but nothing on the national news just like it never happened.

im from south florida .. personally been through many .. its normal weather to me, and although i appreciate peoples sentimate dont need any help .. you want to help 'really' then focus on stopping the media hyping every thunderstorm and making everyone empty stores and gas stations .. THAT causes some actual real hardship ..
