Meopta Optika5 Rimfire (model 1032565) Z-Plus Reticle, Side Focus

Scopelist.com still have several Meopta's in stock, more than Camera Land. Also Meopta.Store.com still has a few. Talked to scopelist today and they probably will be out of Meopta by mid week next week. Also heads up, incase you don't know, Dichro reticles are NOT illuminated, FYI. If you go with scopelist make an offer of $100 less, it will be accepted.

I have a dichroic technology scope on a hunting rifle. You are correct in that it is not an illuminated reticle, it does need ambient light to function. That being said, hunting during legal shooting hours in the US it works great. I love the way you can see thru the dichro reticle and see your target. This is awesome technology in a riflescope and I am truly amazed other scope manufacturers haven't tried something similar. I took a nice buck 2 years ago as it came out of thick wood at beginning of legal shooting hours. I loaned my rifle to a buddy's niece and nephew who also took nice deer and liked how easy it was to get on target. I am slowly switching my old scopes out for Meopa products, you truly can not beat the quality versus cost. There's a reason the Optika5/6 scopes are so hard to find, as soon as they show up they are spoken for, don't wait.

The AG looks different right now, as I have a couple of laminate sets and more to come.

Borrowed the scope on my Rotek to test its accuracy again (scope looks funky and too big, lol! I hate 30mm scopes 😝):

I have a matching Steve Corcoran forearm being shipped out today.

Perhaps I will go black and white on the top (another silver Clearidge scope with 1" black medium height Sportsmatch scope rings in transit) build 'cuz I already have a blue build:

I absolutely agree with you. Dichro would be fantastic on a large game rifle where it's dusk and dawn hunting. I wish there was a Dichro with a powered red dot in the middle for an overall win win scope. I simple needed a scope I can use for legal night hunting for small game and the Dichro was not that scope. I did replace it with a Meopta however and I am totally sold on them.

If a 1-6x24 is in the realm of possibility, I put the Optika6 1-4x24 KDOT Rd on my competition AR. My son then tried it out and literally stole it for his AR. I just got another one after a short wait and it'll go back on my rifle. I wish there were locking lugs as they have for auto wheels, then I would feel safe! All of our competition shots are inside of 200 yards and the 1-6x24 gets the job done. I only use the red dot feature in low/overcast conditions.
