Message out to classified low ballers

I get the frustration, I get at a minimum of 100 text or email or PM notifications or questions every day from potential customers.

1 out of 100 actually do business with me but never, and I do mean, NEVER do I get butt hurt by a question.

To each his own...
and that's why folks like you who work in any 'hobby' type arena who sell or make custom bits are a special breed. I'm usually very cordial, but dealing with that would drive me batturd crazy in about 4 hours!

I know what I want .. Know what I'm willing to pay for it .. You are selling What I Want, sooo ... would you please extend your head & neck via the Internet out of my monitor so that i may beat you down ... PLEASE & Thank You :ROFLMAO:

You've been eavesdropping? 🤣😂😅🥹😁

So funny..😂

Dang what happened to the ol' it don't hurt to try? I might hot you up in desperate times and you except the offer ? Win win for us each 👍🤤

I jack up the price to allow a low baller to offer more to what i want in price ...

I mean, there comes a point of where the line of a reasonable, possible decent offer is passed to be a possibly low offer, and other times it is trampled over and the offer becomes absolutely insulting. If the prospective buyer then goes from seller to seller with the same thing demanding their way people tend to get pissed at the wannabe buyers antics.

This forum has the best complaint threads!

Cheers,

J~
I wonder if there were feet in any of the pictures. 🤔

I did not see any.............I would have pointed it out.

Very touchy subject as its a free market but...seems like people think their stuff is worth almost retail and its 3yrs old. Everyone has an opinion on their value. If its insane, like $1500 asking and your offered $200 then sure, take a hike, but someone offering $1400, 1300, hell even 1200 isn't hateful, thats practical. Its funny to see how people price their stuff and so many are FIRM but yet they have been renewing to sell the same damn thing for 6-12months! To each his own. I don't bother even interacting with someone who I feel their price is way too high as its been nothing but issues in the past when I offer what I feel is a fair price based on sales and the market. I avoid that seller. Ive passed on many ads due to this.
If asked for price is seen universally as fair ... item sells
If seen as Too much universally .. it gets a renewed listing
If Renewed listing goes 3-6 times seller needs to remove it or catch a clue  Said item is not going to sell at asked for price.
Renewed listings that go a page or more are telling and should be avoided period, as seller has shown they don't wish to sell item except what they list it for and likely unwilling to have a civil conversation on a more realistic value.

Sadly folks buy stuff that has been hyped up, inflorescencer boosted etc ... Brand or model etc may have been found not that desirable, YET .... seller still has hard investment made and for many is unwilling to accept they paid too much or likely should never have purchased at all. This alone creates a lopsided valuation which equals .... It is ONLY WORTH what most would be willing to pay for it if wishing to possess said item. Low desirability item bring poor resale value .. Fact of life !!!

I see people that place WTB ads sometimes with wording of some type stating “I know what things cost so I’ll only pay a fair price”
I think it’s fair to say that most of the folks here know current rates of most AIRGUNS being sold as used, wether they are bone stock or have bling. It cracks me up that folks buying used only want to pay $1400 for s near mint M3 that’s fully decked out. Yes, in a buyers eyes those added parts don’t mean anything, they say “yeah but it’s still an M3”, but I can bet 99.9% he’d love to have them all, and still only pay $1400. No regards to shipping costs, or the loss the seller is already getting when selling used. They want to have ALL of the cake and eat it ALL to themselves. FFF whst the seller is asking for.

I can honestly say, the few times I’ve bought on here I have never balked at the asking price. I, too, know what things cost and should be fairly priced. I am just stoked if the seller still has what I want. I just simply ask them for their PayPal

To all that replied something like “it’s a free world what’s wrong with asking? It doesn’t hurt to ask, right?” Well to them I say I can almost guarantee 9 out the 10 things they sell the prices are firm and they themselves aren’t taking a hit….but they have no problem asking someone else to take a bigger hit than he already is.

So back to my original post- it wasn’t at all about the low ball offer cause this PCP man dude asked me and I explained about the hit I would take, and I reminded him I’m covering the shipping.

And so I come back with a counter telling him I would be willing to drop to his offer, but I’m taking the 700cc bottle off and putting the stock one back on. Plenty fair.

What do I get? No reply back. Totally wasted the little time I have left on this world. Never hear back. He contacts me two weeks later to ask if I still had it. I cordially replied yes, and never hear back. But I did hear he’s dickn around with AGN member CM who I consider a friend, and trying to low ball him too.

I used to wonder why sellers showed a lot of negative aggression towards tire kickers in threads similar to this, and now I know why. Chumps. That’s all guys like this PCP man dude is. Gutless, no ethics, manners, you name it. Just simple chumps

I was really on the fence about a gun. Due to lack of willpower I shot the dude a lower offer for the gun assuming he would say no and I would be off the hook. He went for it. What did I do? I bought it and still haven’t shot it much. We all have different morals, ethics, purchasing etiquette or whatever you want to call it. Forum non participators aren’t worried about their standing with fellow members. That’s why I generally don’t deal with them when selling. But I have sold two guns to non participators and they were great to deal with so who knows. Just rambling now because I understand why someone could get mad. It’s just simply communication. Even if you want to back out.
