Mickey Mouse fix on my Exclusive breech

My 2240

So, not sure if any of you lived with my issue. About every hundred pellets or so the breech would jam. Shaking the gun, hitting with a sledge .. nothing helped. Had to take off the breech and find a mangled lump of lead rattling around.

I was ready to give up, no hope of treating this as a reliable dinner getter(theoretically).

Defective magazines? Defective bolt probe(so thin and no oring)? Defective breech? Where did these mystery lead lumps materialize from?

Above, you see my simple fix(I hope). Need to deal with a leak before I can put a few hundred rounds through it.

So, the plastic that new toys are packaged in. That you can't tear with your teeth. That is the reason for your Benchmade griptilian

Cut to the shape of the breech surface. Epoxied, or glued for possible disassembly. A tiny hole that the probe just can squeeze through. So, no where for run away pellets to scamper too.

I am holding my breath that jams will only be a whisper from the past.

Ace Hardware has plastic washers in almost all sizes that you can lap on a glass or granite surface until it meets your required tolerance.

BeeGee, valid question.

My mushy memory forgot. No, the mags didn't fit. So I slowly flat sanded the clear side of each mag till it could fit.

Darkhorses idea would minimize how much of the mag face to sand/trim

I actually saw an Ace Hardware here in Abq. that sells firearm screws that were specified as such.
