MidTen Budget Red Dot, Micro Optic Review - No tool adjustment!

Hey All -

I've been on the lookout for a red dot that doesn't require tools for elevation and windage adjustment (can be done by hand) - that's small enough <2" base to fit on a pistol with unlimited eye relief. I've found one, that not only fits those bills, but is also REALLY budget friendly:

What attracted me to it initially was the rating - almost 4K in the 4.3 star range for a budget optic is very rare on Amazon - and then I received it and mounted it, I wasn't at all disappointed.

Photos of it mounted on my Manul:

At $30, not sure how it could go wrong.

I was considering MUCH more expensive reflex and red dots including microdot HD and Sitemark at $199++ and am pleased with this optic choice while saving over $100.

Of course, with Amazon, you can also buy it, try it, and send it back if it doesn't work for you - which is good to know.

Hope this helps my brothers here on AGN out!

Regards,
Mark

Hmm, while I'm not into buying cheap tools (a sight is a tool !)...
Your sentence in "red" above, what are you trying to say....... A "screw driver" isn't a...TOOL" ???
That sight, like MANY, requires a "screw driver" to adjust the windage and elevation !!!

So...where did you learn that screw drivers, arent tools ?

Notice what is under the little black cap....a "flat head" driver head...RIGHT ???
OR, do you have really...sharp, stiff finger nails ?

Hey Mike - you can use a flat blade screw driver -or- you can turn the turrets with your fingers to adjust the elevation and windage, making it pretty handy.

Those are not caps.

Thanks,

How bright is the red dot in bright sunlight? That's the stand out problem I've had with cheap RD's - not bright enough at highest setting so gets slightly lost at times depending on the target and lighting conditions. Bought 4-5 different brands over the years in the sub $70 price range, tried other brands friends had, and this was the case with all. Plus they haven't held zero well or pretty much a blah experience. I'd rate these/mine as disposable.

That's why I went to the mid priced ones specifically Holosun. Been super happy with them. Problem is I don't want to spend that much for using on the less expensive pistols.
