This thing is awesome. This DNT Optics ThermNight (TNC225R) scope has daytime recording, IR night vision, and real Thermal with multiple profiles. This is next level stuff! Full review here:

And this right here is why so many YouTube reviews are totally useless. (Sorry Nate - no offense directed at you specifically - just wrong place wrong time) You use a product for 2 days and it's the best thing since sliced bread and that is what the YT review shows. Then 6 months later your using the product and seeing the weaknesses and the review flips 180. There's so little value there I just don't watch review vids on YT at all.Hey guys, Just an update. DNT Optics is a great company, good people. But after using real thermal, I have to say the thermal function on this unit is kind of a joke. You can't see anything compared to a Oneleaf MARS MT1000 ($1399) or a AirSeeker A10 ($2650?). I can't recommend this as a Thermal Scope. DNT does have other units that are probably as good as an A10 or MARS, but you get what you pay for, unfortunatley.
I think this $1100 TCR235 scope is a great choice for a night vision/daytime scope, with a Thermal bonus where you can see "colored blobs" to give you an idea of what is alive out there, then switch to Day/Night mode. If you want thermal just spend the extra $ for a MARS. You can't beat Oneleaf's interface, functionality, and real time Ballistic calculator LRF functions. The A10 has that "Ultra Clear" function that gives a great picture, but in my opinion the MARS is at least 75% as good as the A10. The A10 definatley is the best though.

How did the DNT actually perform in the field…. or did you only use it in your yard?Hey guys, Just an update. DNT Optics is a great company, good people. I just took delivery of the 335 model. I have not had a chance to put it through its paces yet, but so far I am impressed with its fit and finish. The user interface is a massive improvement over the x-sight 5 3-15 LRF unit I have been using for night pest work. It is very easy and quick to navigate. The thermal and digital night/day optics focus down to less than 5 yards, and the LRF will grab and compute a firing solution at this distance (5 yards). I have not input ballistic data for my pest rig yet, so I am not sure if the firing solution will even be capable of being displayed at this range. After zeroing, a very close firing solution might be outside of the digital sensors gaze given the large height over bore of the digital day/night side of the optic. The lcd display is very good in comparison to the x-sight 5. The focus dials are very smooth, however the thermal focus is a bit awkward to use, especially if the included sunshade is installed on the day/night objective. I don’t know who designed the new included objective cap for the thermal at DNT, but they need to go back to the drawing board. The best, if not only viable position it can be utilized in is to flip down and lay flat. This isn’t possible unless the optic is attached to one of its included bases in a very specific way. The only configuration I have found that would allow for this is to use the 20moa base and locate the optic in the front most 4 mounting holes. This configuration however will probably not work for most because the optic would more that likely be mounted to far forward on most rifle systems. I will probably replace it with something else, or design and 3d print one that accomplishes what I want it to. Overall I am happy with it and looking forward to doing some pesting with it soon.Anyone have the next series up in the DNT the 335? Looks to have better specs and is about 1 1/2 times more than the 225.
