Minimum FPE you would use to kill hog at POI 30 -100lbs with a PCP

I’d check with your state laws first if you plan on doing any public land hunting with your air rifle - it’s 215fpe here in Texas. Outside of that, I think (as demonstrated in the video above) ultimately shot placement is going to be most important. I use a Texan 457 SS for hunting hogs on my property (400+ fpe), but I don’t have any doubts my Huben K1 in .25 cal (80+fpe) will do the job as well, if it’s a brain or vital shot.

I am within the states regulations for hunting with air rifles. .30 cal PCP for deer and .20 cal for turkeys. No air gun requirements mention for hogs. I hunt with Impact M3 .35 shooting a 80gr Pro Slug (890 FPS) solid, Ataman .35 Shooting 81gr Zan hollow point (912 FPS}, and Guanlet 2 .30 shooting 60gr Zan (960 FPS). Kidkb, So you are are saying less than 80 at point of impact will be good for taken a hog?

If it’s a brain shot, easily.

Easily, actually don't even need that a .22 @ 50 FPE ( at the muzzle ) with the right pellet will put down big Hogs,...how do I know ? ;)
Cool, I will start working on my shooting. My MPBR is set at 58 yards at .5 inches. 16 yards is the second zero. I shoot of sticks, but I will practice shooting off hands for the unexpected shot. Thanks to everyone for your knowledge and considerations. The next hunt will be July 7-9, hopefully I get a kill and be able to post it.
