Okay so I had something else imaged in my head. I mixed em up.it happens. I also wrote black when I meant silver. And clockwise when I meant counter. It happens. I submit. 1000 apologies

Does the incorrect name change function?

It changes what people order and in other parts of an HPA machine, it can be dangerous to misidentify a part.

Nomenclature is also important when people are looking for or are ordering replacement parts.

It's not a personal attack, we just don't want a n00b to see a misidentified part and be frustrated that's its not what was represented when it arrives.

After all, there is a significant price difference.

The regulators look very different from each other. View attachment 523611View attachment 523612
I've also seen a clone with more weight reduction scallops machined into the billet, with the 5 or 6 slot pic rail. And the reservoir gauge, and regulator gauge on opposing sides. As well as an unregulated iteration apr. Half the size. eBay,/AliEx,wish all labeled "dreamvalve/valve,pressure regulator valve....ad infinitum...ad nauseum etc..

Luckily he just needed to know how to de gas, and adjust the regulator to an appropriate pressure. I understand the point when leading someone to make a purchase.

The little one under the bolt? That's impossible to get too

Two items to highlight:

The bottle stop screw (not a grub) is clocked about 180° from where you want it to be.

When fully seated, it allows the air to be "stopped" at the seat of the screw allowing you to degas the regulator itself in order to reduce the regulator setting.

DO NOT turn the regulator down (CW) when air pressure is in the regulator.

The stop screw needs to be opened a minimum of 1/2 turn and a maximum of 3/4 turn CCW to fully open the seat.

Opening further puts you at risk of a blown leak and a missle hazard from the screw being ejected by hpa.

Good. Let it empty completely. Once the tank is empty.. cock the gun and fire two shots. Then re fasten the screw. Then the silver screw above your tank, below your barrel.. the big screw... Screw that in a good bit. Several turns. Then fill your gun. If everything has worked out. It should be at. A much lower pressure. Then slowly unscrew that bolt until your regulator pressure is 14-16 Mpa

With that barrel length. At that pressure you should be well above 750 with 15.89 pellets.

I was at 805fps when I jumped my barrel to 380mm and didn't have a port job. yours is 500mm.

Fully degassed, the nut is removed and the grub is turned CW until it seats (softly) then turned CCW 1/2 .

Go slow and fire at least 1 dry fired shot to seat the regulator between adjusments.

Off topic

I've got a 600mm liner, fabbed a longer barrel sleeve and shroud for the fx liner kit. Will be posting velocities and accuracy resadjustments.

That's a length we didn't test, the 500mm FX barrel kit was as long as our research showed interest.

The 380mm kit is probably 3:1 more popular than the 500mm kit.

I have the 700mm kit, it's very accurate and fast but the gun is almost 5 feet long with a big moderator in front!

That's the beauty of it. If I find It too long , I will just spend another $95 for the huma dreamline caliber conversion kit.. the .22 high flow TP, liner lock and barrel connector with pin and pellet probe. I've long wanted to convert to .22. As .25 isn't always needed and .22 is a small bit more economical and has a FAR wider selection of ammunition.

Oh ok I was under the impression this could damage the valve on most pcps. Does the air pressure dump out after, or do you need to fire it out the barrel?
I typically will have at least one full powered shot. Second shot will do the "I'm out of air" burp and vent.

Also this was another case of it being late, having typed on a phone 1000 quick responses. And mixing my memories of procedure with the tube and venting from the pressure gauge, or doing the same on my tank setup. If vented from the bleed the tension of the hammer and spring against the pin will bleed it out once the pressure gets low enough. When venting pre reg you have a shot or 3 in plenum reserve

Regretfully, we have 4 known generational changes with the Notos right now.

Gen 1 & 2 don't have the air block (part 42) degassing grub. Gen 3 & 4 do.

With Gen 1 & 2, you are forced to dry fire the gun empty. Gen 3 & 4, the degassing grub will empty the receiver block completely.

No, dry firing with adequate pressure will not harm the Notos. It has a brass and steel poppet valve and over-strike protection.
