This is what I have found so far without much searching. It seems that the majority of them do work fine. I was a bit surprised to find some that didn't work at all.
Most AR grips DO Fit
Most / All AR milspec and after market grips do NOT fit without modification or they may not fit at all.
One reason I bought my 22 Cal Factor RC was because of the AR style grip. I just tried to install a Magpul K2+ semi vertical grip today and it would not easily slide onto the attachment point. The metal was too thick. I had to tap it on with a plastic mallet. The placement hole that holds the grip on is at the wrong angle and it is too far forward, not allowing the trip to align properly with the receiver. The threaded hole in the receiver is significantly smaller than milspec dimensions so you will need to get a shorter screw with the same threads as the very long one that held on the factory grip. Without hogging out the hole for the screw in the grip, this was the best fit I could come up with. I will probably fix it later, but it is fine for now. Not much to do about the beavertail extension not quite matching the curves of the receiver, but, not a big deal for me. I don't want to cut the Magpul and don't want to remove metal from the gun.
My only two complaints so far with the gun are this and that the rail that was advertised by Hatsan as a hybrid dovetail and Picatinny, which it clearly is not. It is a hybrid dovetail and Weaver style rail. The slots are far too shallow for every Picatinny ring I tried.
On the positive side I am very happy with the following:

- Quite a few more - most models out there?

On the positive side I am very happy with the following:
- The look of it
- The trigger
- The sub 0.9 MOA 5 shot groups it has printed with CPHP cheapo pellets, H&N Slugs and JSB Heavies and Monsters
- 130+ shot count on power setting 1
- 21 shot magazines
- Tensioned barrel liner
- 580CC CF Bottle
- A Regulator that gives me single digit extreme spreads on 10 shot strings.
- The buttstock (At first glance I didn't really like it much, but after some use, it fits me just right. The cheek rest is perfect for me.)
