I had my sight changed recently and I inquired "How do you do that?" He said heat it with a torch. When the solder melts, hit it with a hammer. Slide the new one one and solder it..
That had me thinking what else coukd be soldered on there? I was thinking build a sight hood with interchangable sight posts, and a suppressor mount. All brass designed to fit the pump tube radius with a hole to sllde on the barrel. Done.
