Moderator for Bulldog .457?

Now that DonnyFL is out of the picture, is anyone making a moderator/suppressor for the Benjamin Bulldog .457? I have been in communication with Pitbull. They deny any issues with high-humidity warpage and they will not accept return of a moderator once it has been installed. That lack of integrity makes me leery of doing business with them. A warped moderator can kill (the shooter).

We are not airgun enthusiasts. We have a horrible feral pig problem on our farm, which is close to a dense residential neighborhood. Unsuppressed, the .457 is just too loud for night use. That's when the pigs come calling. Also, when we are invaded by 30-pig sounders, we need to shoot quietly in order to keep from scattering the sounder back into the jungle.

We chose the Bulldog because we often must shoot while crawling through dense jungle. A traditional rifle configuration is just too clumsy in close quarters. For the same reason, we cannot use a scope. We have a laser zeroed at 30 yards. Most often, we must shoot from the hip. Point laser. Pull trigger. Dead pig. The Bulldog .457 has the power to drop a 300-pound boar with any reasonable hit; however, it is definitely NOT a repeater. The "shot tray" is a joke and Benjamin's own 350-grain pellets are too long for the breach. Benjamin denies this fact. Is there another suppressible big bore air gun that is not so clumsy and can realistically be used for repeat shots, in the awkwardness of tropical Hawaii jungle?
Oh yeah, also gotta have a repeater because a wounded 300-pound pig can kill me much quicker than I can awkwardly reload a gun.

Thanks folks! We may not be airgun enthusiasts but we're sure glad you are!

I've seen videos with guys, bulldogs, and Bowie knives getting it done over there. In all actuality, a different route may be had using a different gun from further away. A modified Benjamin Bulldog .357 has a lot of support and accessories for power, accuracy, and noise reduction. Otherwise, why not bait and shoot them from further away?

Western Rattler .357 comes moderated already and hits at around 270fpe. You can also add on an aftermarket if it isn't quiet enough, I personally think it's fine even though it's not what people call "backyard friendly" it's quiet enough for me not to have to wear ears and that's all I give a sht about.

BTW, we sure would appreciate it if comments were limited to people offering actual expertise; not hobbyists or "influencers" pimping other people's products. Forums are too often misused as social media chatter platforms. Try Twitter if you just need to be heard. Thank you for your understanding and consideration.

Neil Clague or Anthony Storey still make them. Please reply to this thread if you want Anthony's contact info. I only have his cell, and won't post it here. I will need to call him to get his email.

The DonnyFL .50 is slightly larger and longer with extension. However, it is double the cost.

Best to email Neil. You'll need to make absolutely sure of the thread pitch, as he doesn't make adapters or accepts returns.

Believe the Bulldog is M18x1. You can invest in a thread pitch gauge and dial caliper, or take the gun to a local machine shop to verify the threads on the barrel, not the thread protector.

Both offer first rate work. My Neil Clague 909s and Dragon Claw LDCs only produce 117dB at the muzzle, thus making them both backyard friendly.

.50 DC M18x1 on the left (2"Dx10L"), .457 909s 5/8x18 with neck in the middle, and slightly smaller Anthony Storey .50 DC with neck is on the right.

Both machinist offers two sizes. Always get the larger one, especially with these bore sizes.

Our situation is not made-for-Youtube drama. We are farmers with a crippling pest control problem.
maybe you can invite a few other air gunners in HI to come help , i would think they would love a place to pest . might have a weekend cook out and tents or something , local motel ?
