Moderator Question

Wondering about the male end of my 0DB that came with BRK Atomic XR. I'm new to the PCP world so please excuse my ignorance. I see all moderators come with a female end. My 110C has a male end. I assume it's removable. If so, how is it removed? I tried unscrewing it, but no go. Couldn't find much with my initial searching. If someone can enlighten me, that'd be really helpful.

a piece of rubber such as a bicycle inner tube , it provides an amazing amount of grip , i use one for jar lids OR put a little lock tight on the threads /screw it back on the gun wait overnight , unscrew the moderator .

Already scuffed a few threads trying to unscrew it. Will try to find a couple of nuts to pry it out as suggested above.
Ouch, been there done that, snug nuts against each other, inner one will be held solid by outer one, wrench will give leverage to unscrew as long as you can hold moderator. Gentle heat from hair dryer might help process along.

Remember you aren't prying it out but unscrewing it. You likely should know this but ive seen mechanics do some stupid things and ruin stuff once they get fighting something like this.

Also if you get a small set of jewlers files you can dress up any threads you have damaged already. a triangular file works the best. Ive done it many times when finding damaged threads or when metals have fused together.

Once you get it apart and the adapter screwed back into your rifle, using a small amount of blue locktite will help, apply some silicone grease on the male threads of the adapter before screwing your moderator back on. It will help removing it later.

One could also chase the threads with a good nut or if one were to be really clever, turn the nut into a die. I'd agree on the file part and patience.

Tried applying Loctite on the male end into the shroud. No go, broke free when trying to unscrew the moderator. Had a hard time finding the appropriate nut at my hardware store. Anyone know the thread pitch? I have a rubber strap wrench on the way to see if that works. Shane @AOA suggested I try a pair of soft jaw pliers or vise grips. If only I could find the right nuts.
