After watching this video I wonder why we don’t see a modern version of this? A self sufficient frontiersman air rifle seems like it would do well in this day in time with SHTF discussed so frequently. Combine that with hunters and hikers seems like it would be popular.

1500 strokes of the pump does not seem like easy hand pumping, and I don't think it would be my first choice as something to hike through the woods with, but I would love to have one of them anyway.

I've mentioned 3-4 times throughout the last 4 years that it'd be cool to have a modern slug repeater that uses either a tube magazine like the relic in the video or a stick mag fed repeater.

I'll put my gas compressor in the back of the truck for air.

That’s what I was referring too.

Not exactly the gun in the video. While it’s cool it’s 2024 give me something with the same general performance or better for half the weight and still maintain the self reliance aspect of the gun.

Something that was purpose built with hand pump in mind.

800psi with a hand pump shouldn’t be a issue.

And if they could sling a 150gr 45 cal round ball at 500fps why can’t we do that in 2024?
