Modified Uragan 30 cal

Being a fan of bullpups, I had this recently acquired Uragan 30 shortened and modified by Bullysyclone. He installed a FX Mk3 300cc bottle, shortened the barrel, carbon fiber shroud, and installed his Wylie kanz. He custom made the bottle adaptor and shroud end cap out of titanium. The barrel was shortened approximately 1.5 inches to directly install the end-cap to the barrel so the kan clears the FX bottle.

It shoots 44.8g FX domes nice, straight , and hard at 850 fps and quite quiet at 775 fps. Further testing needs to be done to see how it groups at distance.

The first photo shows the original bottle and shroud compared to the installed parts. The factory shroud is 14.5 inches. The overall length is 24.5 inches.

I would've made the bottle adapter out of 7 series aluminum, titanium is a pain to machine... for me anyway. Nice work.

I've machined various verities of Titanium... It's NOT...difficult at all ! It just doesn't machine like aluminum..!!

You just need good equipment. No cheap Chinese, bargain basement lathes or mills, and quality, sharp tooling to go with the good mills and laths.

Turned it down to 780 fps. It’s quiet for a 30.

Overlaping FX 44.8g pellets at 20 yds from a bag.

Sometimes I sit here going through the forum and I see how talented these guys are in modifying or making their own parts to make a already fine rifle even better. Find myself very jealous, in a good way. Very fine little rifle and nice speed on the 30 for pesting.
