Moisture filter for GX3

I’m in Kentucky and have 2 of the model 3 , had one 2 years now . I use them to fill an impact m3 and a Leshiy 2 .
I don’t use a filter - maybe I should but with that said I’ve also had my guns apart many , many times and yet to notice any water or signs of moisture . I agree that nitrogen out of a bottle would be drier option but these seem to do ok . They are built strong and simple to service with parts available .
I use a 20” box fan setting against the compressor when I use them for additional cooling and stocked up on spare parts to keep them running from Target Forge back in the spring . Also had the compressor apart to repair the valve system . These are very easy to repair with videos on the utube .
Hate they are Chinese made but since this country doesn’t make products any more we are left with few choices in the compressor price range .
The fact these compressor are avaible today has changed the playing field for many who would never gotten into airguns because of cost of the compressor not too many years ago .

Based on running the GX CS3 side by side with a Yong Heng, the water trap in the CS3 is significantly more efficient than the one in the Yong Heng. You might try running a small secondary filter with some color changing beads to see how much moisture is getting through.

If you end up adding a large water trap / filter, you will want to add a one way valve and a shutoff valve / bleeder like in this thread of mine, so you don't have to keep filling your large filter every time you fill a gun or tank.
