Mole Sieve questions

Got a bunch of small beads of mole sieve today from work. They had sampled our LARGE air dryers about a year ago, and had a few bottles setting around that were going to get pitched. So I saved the trash man some weight. I assume this stuff can be dried by heating, and from what I gather reading on this forum that it is much better than silica gel for removing moisture. Is that correct?

Just not sure what to do with it, but figured the price was right. Currently I am using silica gel in the desiccant kit for my Benjamin hand pump. If this mole sieve is so much better, figured I could just replace the silica gel. 

Am I on the right track?

MS can be dried but it takes around 300-500deg to do it. Usually done in a vacuum oven. Don't know ho well a regular oven would work.

Yes based on the info given in this webpage : https://www.sorbentsystems.com/desiccants_charts.html.  MS does not give up the absorbed moisture as readily as silica gel does and I have also heard that you need a vacuum environment to do it so I don't bother.

If it has been stored in an air-tight container, it should be OK. Otherwise, the information above is correct. at atmospheric pressure, the silica jell is probably a better option.
