Yep, it's a seller's market, and many of them want our interest-free financing. Most of them get at least 30 day terms from the manufacturer, and I'm willing to pay them when their invoice is due to their supplier. Anything prior to that is just exploiting their position. But as the old saying goes, the sun don't shine on the same dog's ass every day. The day will come when they're begging for sales, and maybe we'll remember.

Well I am going on month six now and still waiting impatiently for my M3. Things suck right now cuz the China virus has really cut down on the number of people willing to work on the docks as well as driving trucks and everything else. So things sit in ships sometimes for months waiting to be unloaded. Then after they get unloaded they sit for weeks or months waiting to be shipped. The whole world is waiting for raw materials as well as consumer products and I don't see it getting any better any time soon. We are lucky to still have the better part of our food supply werqing the way I look at it.

Sounds like the same place that takes a week or more to ship a gun or pellets they do have in stock.

I ordered my gun ( Maverick ) on March 23 ( no payment of course ) i am still waiting for it.

A few weeks ago i learned that the gun is actually made, i also learned that the shop sent the import permit to the maker to affix to shipping ( i assume thats how it work )

But it have now been 3 weeks past that and i am even more frustrated as those otherwise good news prompted me to get my hope up.

No shipping issue here, i am driving across the country / part of the country ( 2 hour drive ) to get my gun as soon as i can, i do not trust any shipping service with fragile goods. + if i did, that would just add at least 1 day to the wait, and i can do without that.

One + of living in a tiny country, though that do not negate all the downsides of that.

PS: Patience have never been one of my stronger characters i am afraid.

PPS: i am so going to call seller tomorrow, hell i might even call FX and remind them of the war ridden history between our 2 countries. :)

PPPS : Denmark have 0 corona things going on ( restrictions or similar ) and things work & financial are better here than pretty much ever, most companies have to turn down work due to lack of skilled workers, but also to a degree raw materials missing, there are 0 issues in the transport sector, so can not blame my wait on anything corona related here. The Swedes i also think are okay with things now in spite of their catastrophic handling of corona, so i think at least transport also are fine up there.

Put a £200 deposit down 4 weeks back on a gun I may not see to the end of December (best case)

It took me close to three years to get here.

Patience is a virtue, a very frustrating virtue.

Good luck.

If it was a special order gun, one for which only a limited market exists, then I think a seller is justified in requiring a deposit. Otherwise, he's having some of the best ale at the local pub on you, and there's a big smile on his face!

I feel your pain. Its best to purchase and forget about it. Then you will be excited when it shows up out of the blue. Thats what people do for NFA items where the purchaser has it right there in front of them at their local store but have to wait until the kings men randomly approve after paying an extra $200 on top of item cost just for them to consider approval. Takes months to years sometimes.
