RTI Mora .357 issues

I’ve been dealing with Rob and Rok at RTI for years with excellent service on any issues with older rifles. RTI.shop is a different story. The guys at RTI.EU will take care of you. Unfortunately they can only do so much from where they are. Ultimately, Talon Tunes will have to back the product leaving its doors.
To be honest, RTI have always looked after it's users / owners. I own 2.

Hopefully things turn out alright for the Mora test pilots. The Mora is beyond my budget and required power level. Simply sitting on the fence watching.

RTI.shop, deceitful is the politest word I can use. Manipulation of the associated manufacturer products.
Edgun shop, Huben shop etc.

Tony at Talon Tunes is taking it back and I’m going to decide what to get from there. I also bought a Uragan 2 compact .22 from him at the same time and I love it, my first AGT gun. Debating getting another Uragan 2 or a Vulcan 3 in .30. Dealing with Tony has been great and I have nothing but good to say about him
Have you looked at the new Vulcan 3 HP?

Devasted unruly crow population with FX Wildcat MK3 Sniper .30 and JSB 44.75s, now none come closer than 100yards. Purchased V3 and U2 .30 slug guns for longer ranges since Wildcat was maxed. V3 and U2 have been a pleasure to own, would never sell either, just side-by-side shooting does leave preferences. Crows are now 200+ yards out so that's far enough. WM
Thats how I feel about my new FX Dynamic .30. I installed the tungsten hammer and that gun became a monster. I'm pushing 90 grain Griffin boattails at 920 fps and it's a tack driver. I'm currently trying to get rid of my M3 .25 to potentially get a Panthera .25 or the Vulcan 3 HP. The M3 is just to annoying for me these days. It's to hold sensitive at higher power levels.

You’re not sending it back for a new one. That’s way too many issue for a repair I would think.
Not at this time. I don’t mind tinkering on them. I do agree that is a lot of issues but they are providing the parts. It gives me the chance to take it apart and learn it a bit as make sure everything is tight. If I still have issues after that then we will see.

Worked on the Mora yesterday. Got the trigger linkage reconnected with loctite, changed the bad o-ring and reassembled making sure everything was tight. Made sure the barrel tension nut just behind the shroud was tight (was loose during my initial testing out of the box) and did some shooting with 81gr pellets. She is shooting great, very accurate out to 100 yards (as far as I’ve taken it so far). Shooting the pellets at 870ish fps, it’s getting a lot of shots out of the 700cc bottle I swapped it to, I hadn’t counted but it was several mags worth. The poi shift issue went away (believe that part was the tension but being loose) and the gun is very quiet. I still can’t use the provided hush 50 silencer due to the barrel to monocore misalignment but the gun is plenty quiet without it. RTI and TalonTunes has been great with their support, have an o-ring kit and .30 cal barrel kit on the way.

The mora is very simple to take apart and service when needed. I pulled everything out of it (hammer spring, hammer, valve adjuster assembly, valve, valve seat) which was all easy to access. Got some more ammo on the way to test out in it

I am glad you got it figured out. My Mora in 357 is awesome. Putting out 235fpe using Griffin 135 gr. Very accurate. But it seems to like the boat tail slug much better than the flat base.
Nice! I have only tried Zan slugs in 100, 112 and 125gr and some 93gr and 110gr NSA slugs. I currently like the pellets and have some hades and fx hybrid slugs on order to try through it. I do love the feel of the gun, everything is very smooth and it’s the quietest big bore I’ve ever shot

Kudos to you for fixing it yourself. You’ve learned some things and taught others what to check on when it arrived. My shroud was a bit loose, so I snugged it up and checked the bushing before shooting - thanks to you!

I’m glad it helped you. That is what it was for, to help others out, not to bash the manufacturer or the mora. I think this is going to be an awesome rifle

Next time one of the Mora owners have their shroud off can a pic be posted of it with just raw barrel.? I would be interested in not running the shroud & looking to see how it would work out with just a mod or nothing at all.
Here is a couple pictures. That is with my 700cc tank. They come with a built in silencer which works very well, then the additional silencer that screws on the end if you want to quiet it even more

Thanks for pics.
I see barrel isn't threaded. I like that. One could put a slip on adaptor if needed for a mod. My curiosity for how I would run a Mora is how is the front barrel bushing mounted to frame & is barrel to that bushing full contact via barrel to bushing or something different.? I would not be running it in full float mode so the bushing system is important to me.

The barrel is threaded. There is a bushing inside the frame just behind the shroud mount that supports the barrel, there is a nut to tighten it down, right here in this picture that my finger is on

I recently received an RTI Mora .357 sniper that I had ordered. First impressions, it’s a beautiful gun, feels great in the hands, very light and smooth cocking and great trigger, also very quiet. Out of the box from Talon Tunes it was shooting 100gr zan slugs at around 215 fpe.

Issues I am having: pellets and slugs are clipping inside of the air stripper in the shroud, throwing accuracy way off. I have tried 3 different weighted Zan slugs, 2 different weights of NSA slugs, some home cast slugs and JSB pellets. I opened up the air stripper a little which helped accuracy without the provided hush 50 silencer attached, but now clips with the silencer attached. I’ve spent some time shooting without the silencer. When I go to air up the gun and then return to shooting, the point of impact changes and I have to zero it again, this happens everytime. During one of my shooting sessions, the shroud base that clamps to the barrel blew back and I got blasted with air. Now the trigger is slowly moving further and further back into the handle. Currently have about 400 rounds shot through it. The gun did not come with the cheek rest or a user manual which I have read others complain about as well. Not exactly what I expected from a gun in this price range, but they are a new release and I guess there will be bugs to work out. Currently working with Talon Tunes to see what we do from here.

Just wanted to share my findings and see what others might be experiencing.

Terminador sells harmonic dampener kits to keep barrel straight in the shroud.
I'm not sure if they make one specific to yours but they might be able to help.

This is going to be a long stretch. But Is there any way you could take a picture of how the valve assembly goes together with the dwell pin, sleeve, spring and pin probe. I took mine apart and can't get the gun to not leak out of the barrel. I think I may have something wrong with something I the valve.

Even drawing a picture would help.
