Western Airguns Mordax pcp!

Considering the K1 is less than $100.00 more and 100% made in China, that is a really good price. Especially for all the USA made barrel, and other assorted parts and assembly you are getting.
Just cause it's made in the USA does not mean it's better, just as just because it's made in China it doesn't mean it poop.
I currently own
fx drs 500mm
also
daystate revere
and a
diana lp8 magnum carbine
all of these in .177
i don‘t do hunting just backyard plinking.
and for air I got hill evo v2
i am making my mind up($$$) for gk1 in .177
yeah if this new Mordax is over gk1 price tag then forget about it!!!
thanks for ur input.
You'd be doing yourself a favor getting a GK1 regardless. If you ever wanted to hunt with it instead of just plinking you have the ability to shoot the 16gr beast pellets over 930fps out of the .177 gk1

I should have been a bit more precise in my response, as I was not referring to quality or bashing the country of origin. I was referring strictly to the price of the unit versus origin. The cost is what seems to drive some people to certain brands versus others. And we would all do better to promote our country's products.

I can agree with this statement, although the prices items made here shouod come at a lower price, the fact that you could send the gun to western airguns for a fix is an added benefit.

can’t believe people haven’t heard about it yet!!

I heard about it several months ago; that being several months after I predicted Western Airguns would (eventually) produce exactly that, with exactly those features. I'm not a professional soothsayer; just a pretty good amateur. How do I do it?

Being of strong Realist persuasion, leaps of logic and reason come naturally. Having my finger on the pulse of airguns, airgun competitions and (especially) air pistols, and my fingers often on the grips or shoulder stock of a .22 GK1, it took no genius leap of logic to predict WA would adapt their rifles to pistol form like Brocock, RAW, Colt, Remington, others and me before them. My (latest) spins on the concept-

Only makes sense (read that, dollars) that Western would adapt their platform to pistol/carbine also. Glad they've arrived at the party. The more, the merrier! (y)🥳

My next prediction is the mood in the U.S. will soon change for the better; and with that change airgunning and shooting competitions will grow and prosper. :D

I saw on a chart, with regulator pressure at 2,700 psi ( think it was .22 caliber) , you will get 7 shots at Max of 41 FPE. I have the GK1 V2 and that puts out over 80 FPE in .25, 42 grain for the first few shots and stays over lethality the rest of the mag at Max setting. That gun RIPS. I shoot ¹⁶ to ⅛ steel targets and put holes through them the full mag at Max. Wait for all the reviews when it comes out. Macabee speed and airgun Alley both do great reviews. If you only get 7 shots at Max regulator pressure and have to refill after that every frigging time, that's gonna leave a sour taste on PCP guns. I have a little tablet bag that I bought that I carry the GK1 in. I have about $2,000 invested with all the extras. 2, moderators, stock, new grip, rubber grip cover, fill plugs, gauge cover, holographic with laser dot attached, the tank cover with M lock, super bright light and strobe. It all fits in the bag. It's a bad ass gun and powerful. You won't get all that right away on a new gun. Make sure this new one is really worth it over the GK1. I also have the megalodon in .58 with the 22 inch barrel and the .50 in the 15" barrel. The 15" fits perfect in a back pack without the rear tank attached and definitely my favorite gun. I have the Donny FL EMPEROR moderator that didn't work on another gun but worked awesome on this one. Makes it MUCH quieter. Can fit the gun, rear tank and moderate which is as long as the gun itself in a back pack and that has a ton of ****ing power. If you've never owned a PCP gun, I'd recommend that number 1. It's a very fun gun and can be easily carried around without anyone knowing. You only need a compressor that goes to 4500 too. The Gk1 fills to 5000. I had to buy another compressor at $600 to fill it without having to man handle a hand pump for that last 500 psi. Whatever you choose though, I hope you're happy with. These are great guns but they're pricey and takes time to free money up for them. Hopefully this helps you not get a bad experience with your first gun!
ahhh man. I ordered the Mordax. Are you sure about those numbers?

Oh and one more thing! I've had a phenomenal experience with "The pellet shop" with gun purchases. Customer service is beyond great, they keep you informed on pre orders, they go out of their way to help their customers and I try to use that whenever I can. I've had some aggravating, poor experiences with 2 other shops that I'm not gonna mention their names because eventually the corrected some of the errors. The pellet shop has ALWAYS been on point though. I don't know them or get anything by saying this. Just a satisfied customer lol.
Same here!

I mean, those are the stats for the .22 only. Im sure the .25 and .30 will have more power. I also saw pictures of a Mordax with a bigger airtube. So the shot count will also vary depending on how you configure it.
I hope so. I just put my Huben shorty on ebay last night. Im willing to come down on price if I can sell it here. Check it out if your interested.

It has been officially released!
A couple thoughts right off the bat though. (Btw I’ll skip past all the awesomeness because I know what we’re all looking forward to). Huge missed opportunity to have a higher fill pressure, we now have pretty widely available 5800 psi compressors and even a 7k. Where they’re not using a CF bottle they have control over this. Energy from the .30 seems awfully low, AoA generally has their max fpe specs at the very edge of what’s possible unlike Huben which understated it significantly.
I’ll need to hold it to actually feel the ergonomics but seems like the folding stock should have some drop down for proper sight alignment. Also business end pressure gauge (n)(n)(n), I thought we were past this… And they said a longer tank (corresponding to upgraded barrel lengths) is offered but why not offer one with a larger diameter for the stock config? Small increases in diameter have a large impact on volume (I’m aware of Barlow formula so wall thickness would go up as well).
