This is the first airgun that I have that needs a fill over 3600 psi or so. I found the hand pumps worked fine for those lower pressures.

lol it is crazy how the gk1 changed the game when it comes to air pistols. I hope they make a gk1 in 30 cal. That would be a huge hit I think!I think I'm gonna wait for the longer barrel configuration. The fpe with the short barrel is a little too low for my taste. Especially for a .30 cal.
Not that 50fpe is bad or anything... but I already have a .30 Blitz BP and a .25 GK1.
I don't need a slightly weaker GK1 with a fun switch.
I don’t get why the shorty costs like $500 more though. Oh wait actually I think I do… the words “money hungry” comes to mindI read through most of the posts and agree that the GK1 is a better pistol but the removable mag and full auto still is appealing At $1850 it seems kind of pricey compared to the GK1. It is good to see some competition, maybe Huben will create a removable mag one day? The shorty is cool as it provides what some here have spend more to modify a GK1 to be a shorty; that is where to me it has an advantage. A shorty with full auto is a fun gun that would be great for *MOD EDIT - VIOLATION OF RULE #3*. Check out the full auto grouping at 25 yards in this review, it is pretty impressive...
I think it requires someone to put in time modifying a stock airgun. So there is the cost of the gun, then you have to pay the person for their time and materials to make the changes to convert to a shorty. No one's going to do that for free. Must require a custom shroud among other things like shortening the air cylinder and barrelI don’t get why the shorty costs like $500 more though. If you do get a gk1 it would probably be a good idea to not insult the main importer and master Huben tech who created/sells the shorty. When the other Huben dealers can’t fix the customer’s gun they send it to Kelly (Krazcool Airguns).I don’t get why the shorty costs like $500 more though. Quit being reasonable! If you do get a gk1 it would probably be a good idea to not insult the main importer and master Huben tech who created/sells the shorty. When the other Huben dealers can’t fix the customer’s gun they send it to Kelly (Krazcool Airguns).
The shorty is more expensive because it’s a custom piece. The barrel is chopped and re-crowned. The air tube is cut shorter and re-threaded. The shroud length is reduced. It’s mostly the machinist labor that you’re paying for.
I swear the people defending these prices must all be related to Mr. Burns or something. Dont take what I’m saying in correlation to me not loving the gk1. Just a bit fed up with these pellet guns costing more than military grade weaponry that’s all.
Niche product (they don’t get as big of an advantage from volume production), and they’re more complex than pbs, makes sense they’re expensive.I swear the people defending these prices must all be related to Mr. Burns or something. another thing is I read it weight is 3.8 lbs.. that's a bit too much if you want to shoot it as strictly as a pistol without the folding stock.wow 1920 is steep, I prefer smaller compact PCP pistols , GKl fits the bill pretty good, The PP700 is a fun sling around gun simple but a single shot .
30 caliber pistol shooting 50 gr pellets at 900 FPS is just crazy,, And so is the price, LOL

same magazine fits the Western sidewinder and rattler.. that's a plus if you actually own those guns since you could swap magazine.Pretty sick though! And you can also removed the mag which is great! Still dont like that the mags are like $130 a pop
I don't think so..seems like 45 per fill from the factory settingsahhh man. I ordered the Mordax. Are you sure about those numbers?
actually the LCS is still made and serviced.. Donny FL is selling them..Every airgun model will have some units with issues, including the Rattler. The real concern is: will this company be around for the long haul to support these guns? The predecessor to Western Airguns only lasted 2-3 years before they dissolved. Leaving many LCS owners SOL when it came time to repair. LCS was once sold by AOA just like Western. The only difference now is it seems they don’t just sell them but have partnered with Western. That makes it more promising. Huben on the other hand, has been on the market going on a decade with solid tech support and parts availability. My advice to any Western Airgun owners is to stock up on parts and o-rings if you plan to keep it a while.
If you've ever dealt with the military, you would know that "military grade" is mostly a gimmick. But I do agree on the pricing of these airguns, they get more expensive each year and we remain buying them falling for the same thing.I swear the people defending these prices must all be related to Mr. Burns or something. Dont take what I’m saying in correlation to me not loving the gk1. Just a bit fed up with these pellet guns costing more than military grade weaponry that’s all.
Sure, if you already own a SW, the rattler is only .35 and up from what I remember. Either way it would make more sense if they offered it with 2 mags instead of one.same magazine fits the Western sidewinder and rattler.. that's a plus if you actually own those guns since you could swap magazine.
