More EPOCH content.

There's a lot of speculation about different aspects of the gun being batted around. Some of the info that's being stated is conceptually close, but not actually correct. The plenum size (72 cc's), the way the valve and actually the entire system functions is SIMILAR to the existing paintball tech that Gog developed, but not the same.
All of this will be explained in my up coming PDF follow up to the original preview, but I'm not gonna go over it repeatedly here, I don't have time or energy. Just take heart in the facts that the engineers who have developed this gun have decades of experience in the field of electronically controlled pneumatics. But second guess them if you feel you must...

Interesting but expensive thought/approach. What if someone knows they only need 1 specific barrel? Why are buyers be forced to pay for the other 2 barrels he/she doesn't want?

Another way to put it is if the gun comes with just 1 barrel then the price for the gun with 1 barrel would be closer to 2000 dollars vs 3000 dollars, that would make the gun more appealing. Not understanding the business decision here.
Makes no sense to me, none. I understand that you can size the barrel to the projectile, but ummm…nope.

…The plenum size (72 cc's)...
Thanks Joe.

I’m seeing lots of things here that I like about the Epoch.

A platform that can be easily tuned for various calibers and energy levels is a worthy goal. Same as some other high end competition (FX, Daystate, etc), each with their own take on it.

Maxed out, the Epoch appears to have everything it needs to make over 150fpe, without any magic. So even medium to heavy slugs…

I heard plans for three barrels of the same caliber as the standard part of the kit? What do you think of that? Typically, I don’t need three different barrels of the same caliber to accommodate small projectile size variations. I use sizing dies for that. For heavy slugs, I’d rather have three different twist rates. But even then, I usually know about which twist rate is most suitable for my intended purpose. In my opinion, better to offer it with one standard pellet barrel in the buyers caliber of choice. That will keep the price down a little. Sell alternate barrels or liners for different applications.

Anyone heard what the maximum projectile length that the Epoch magazines will accommodate?

There never seems to be any shortage of individuals who for lack of talent, drive or ambition produce no content of their own but are always ready to criticize the efforts of those who do.
It's the nature of the beast...not everyone can be producers of content but most are consumers. If you're going to be creating stuff, you have to expect and be able to deal with criticism. That's never going to change.
You should feel free to criticize too. It’s the only way improvements and changes happen.

Joe, why did you delete the photo message, it's cute, we have a saying for something you're not sure is a "cat in a bag" :)

And I have to say , it is not clear to me that there is no data on the maximum power of this rifle for each caliber (short and long barrels) and it will be on the market in a few days and you can already pay for the preorder, that sounds frivolous to me!

I wouldn't call this an official release but they do this in a video. To save everyone the conversion, 1,400 psi is 96.5 bar.

First off, I want to apologize to Joe for derailing his thread. He’s been bringing info on this epoch to us for awhile now, and the little bit I’ve followed the gun it shows promise.

It’s just unfortunate that for a platform making it’s entry into this hobby, of all the people to use to help endorse this product why pick B & M? That person has not been forgotten around this AGN community, very obviously, for the shenanigans he pulled on a member, and there’s way more better talent out there to help endorse this platform.
