So my Maverick went back for warranty right out of the box, the regs wouldn't go up past 100 or so bar unless they creeped up past.
Next I'm shooting after I get it back and the gun cocks but won't close/fully load a projectile or release the magazine, that's a magazine issue. Keep a allen wrench handy so you can continually make sure the screw in center of the magazine is snug.
Point of impact, I have installed the carbon fiber liner sleeve, tried a barrel band. Every time I pull it out of the case it needs the sight tweaked one way or another, then it holds until next time. Onto last night...
Installed new sight and rings. Went outside and set up a (large) target to sight in. Set up at my bench and load a round (now equipped with a CARM single shot tray)and fire. Seems really low but I dial it up and take another shot, getting close. Another shot closer still. Next shot, BANG! that made my ears ring, didn't hit the target. Look the gun over, nothing looks out of place, load another round....you guessed it. BANG! Now the gun won't cock, the charging handle makes the full motion but doesn't set the trigger. Check the linkage and a set screw is missing. Pull the cheek riser and probe is lined up with the set screw in the hole.
So I start checking tightness of screws, first one-power wheel is about to come out, I snug it down. Still won't cock. Move the power wheel from 7 to 6....it cocks, shoots. Back to 7, won't cock. Back in the house. Turn micro adjust screw in one turn and it will now cock on setting 7. Went another half turn in for safe measure and called it a night. To say I'm not impressed with the quality of such an expensive rifle when there are so many others out there is an understatement. FX won't be getting anymore of my money. I guess I'll know this platform forward and back before I give up on it.
Thanks for reading my rant
