Other Most accurate 50yd PCP airgun shooting .22cal pellets

I have a Taipan Vet 2 with a 700mm barrel. Its a .22 tuned to shoot slugs. Yesterday I shot a group with H&N HP slugs (5 shots) @75 yrds that I can cover with a penny. Maybe I won the barrel lottery but this thing is amazingly accurate. It is consistent, meaning after sitting overnight, the first shot is right around 945fps (thats where it is tuned at). I have not found many PCPs with such consistency and accuracy.

They’re are lots PCP guns that can do well at 50yards -
For me, I do like Air Arms guns. Especially for pride in ownership quality, I believe they make one of the nicest PCPs if you are looking for Quality - very nice blueing of metal and their stocks generally have nicer wood than others - not to mention super Accurate-
Air Arms guns are definitely going to what your looking for as Pride in ownership of Quality rifle. My old AA410 Extra FAC is still my favorite PCP out of all I own.

I have been shooting an AA S410 since 01. It's amazing that even without a regulator, I still get a good 30 or so shots with a change in poi with it. My only regret I have with it, is I'd like to have with a walnut stock. When I bought it, I wanted to save money, so I chose the poplar wood. It isn't as pretty as the walnut, but it has never failed to deliver. It's is the only pcp I own. I posted pics of some of my latest targets at 25, 37, and 50 yards with it in my last post. It has sent a ton of ground squirrels to the light over the years. Mine has no regulator, nor does it have a safety- so I only cock it when I am ready to shoot. I went out shooting with a couple of new buddies who were shooting FX Impacts in 25 cal. With slugs they were consistently making 100yd kills, so now I am seriously interested in getting an Fx King, but am not sure if I want it in 22cal or 25cal.

I can’t speak to all of the guns people have suggested. However, I have shot with others who own most of them and one thing seems consistent to me. Get above about 1500 dollars and the accuracy is pretty much the same. if the gun is set up correctly little tiny groups at 50 yards is not exceptional and all are capable.
Now just figure out what you want out of the gun besides being able to fit all your shots under 1/2” at 50. Start comparing features, ergonomics, parts and service availability etc and you will find what you want

I have no experience with the Epic Two…

As far as the others that you list…

Considering these 3 key areas of criteria:

1 Build robustness, simplicity, smoothness of operation
2 Barrel
3 Trigger

I’d recommend the .22 Taipan Vet 2 550mm

KEY POINT for you: As you are coming from a RAW trigger, I think you might be a bit shocked by the triggers on most of the guns you list. You will need to do work on them. The Taipan’s trigger is the exception, you can simply turn and 1st and 2nd stage adjustment screws to your liking and you will like it.

I have first hand experience with all the rifles you list except the Epic. I currently own two Crowns and a .22 Taipan Vet 2… I ain’t guessing, I know.

The rifles you mentioned are all accurate but none are consistent.

You need consistent accuracy from a rifle in order to develop precision.

My two M3 Impacts, my USFT, and my RAW HM1000X have never been as consistently accurate and thus as precise as my Thomas BR.

The quality of a rifle is intrinsic to the consistant accuracy of that rifle, which in turn, is intrinsic to a precision marksman which brings pride in both ownership and accomplishment.

Order a Thomas.

Once upon a time, I owned both a Thomas HPX and an Impact MkII. With my level of competency, the Thomas and the Impact showed the same level of accuracy. I sold the Thomas to a better shooter and kept the Impact and I remain satisfied with that decision.

That said, the the Thomas performed right out of the box while the Impact required a lot of tweaking. To the OP, if you don't enjoy tinkering, do not buy an FX.

I own among others, two impacts, a Gen. 1 Cricket an a SKOUT Evo.

The Impacts are the least consistent and most frustrating.

The most accurate Evo w the .22 LW barrel shoots a single small 5-shot hole at 50 y, (when I’m “on”), and the Cricket used to be a strong runner up until I had it “worked on.”
That Cricket is the most reliable In that it can sit for months and not leak and shoot like I just shot it 20 minutes ago. Great simple clean design.

Would love Thomas but feel I am unworthy. Maybe if I was a serious bench contender?

I have a Daystate Alpha Wolf HP 22. It has been very consistent up to 74 yards (my backyard) with +/- 10 degree gradients (this limitation comes from the scope I am using). I can hit groups with 1” spread.

I re-lube the seals once a month, and clean the barrel once a week. BTW, I never use deformed pellets.
