Most desirable thing in the airgun world?

What an interesting thread. I’m saving up money for land right now and the deciding factor is that it has to have 200 yards of safe level shooting range lol.
I have a range that lets me reach out to 150 yards now, but I have to stack bags in the steepest way to make it work because my range is all uphill, and it’s not my land, 😑, renting.
No complaints though I feel very fortunate to have this.
Once I get my own land the first priority is shooting range, followed by permaculture and total retirement lol!
Edit: The bird feeder that’s crooked is the work of a bear, I actually built it perfectly straight lol!

There are obviously many things that are desirable in this hobby. But what is MOST desirable? To have your own compressor? Cost effective pellets / slugs? Projectile friendly barrels? All would be great, but, I feel the absolute best thing is to have your own personal range. No range fees, no extra travel, no loading and unloading a multitude of gear each time. Now all you breakbarrel folks got the rest of us on this granted. Just to have your own range with no problems with neighbors, or with cool ones, life would be great for a shooter. What say you?

Heated and cooled 100 yards available. Compressor at my feet and two white whales that are always topped off, plenty of targets and plenty of guns and lead and a loving supportive wife - but - very little time to enjoy it all 😵‍💫

Having the space to shoot has been a blessing for me. I’ve always been into Airguns from my youth and when I lived in NYC it was particularly difficult to enjoy them. Having safe targets from 15 to 102 yards in my own private space, definitely makes the total difference in my airgun shooting enjoyment. And while my Sportsman’s Club is 10 minutes away, I don’t have to drive at all.

All of the above.
But what I would desire in addition to all that,,,,,,,, friends to share it with.
Living in a rural area with plenty of land to shoot on, also means far fewer folks who are into PCPs.
The member map shows only one within 30 miles, and that person only made 1 post a few years ago.
I think I would even trade a few of the amenities that I am blessed with for a few fellow shooters to share and compete with.

Everything comes with a cost. Enjoy your blessings.

I hear you… and understand. For me as I age “time” which I ignored and laughed at in my youth has become incredibly precious. Sharing or simply interacting with other humans within the same “physical space” is a precious/special thing to me and very much valued and appreciated.

Yes it is super nice to have your own place to shoot. I have a farm of around 40 acres, so ive got plenty of places to shoot. In the mornings I open my bedroom window and shoot the seed heads off of the weeds growing in the pasture behind my house 50 yards away.
The only thing that I wish for is an endless supply of starlings and house sparrows to shoot. 😬 Sure enjoy knocking them down.

Targets. All the air guns and lead in the world is worthless without something to shoot them at.
From bench shooters to pesters we all need targets.
In my case, ground squirrels and pest birds.
i went out to my favorite and only ground squirrel area, and there was,,,NOTHING as in not a darn squirrel to be seen for 2+ hours, saw a gorgeous heron and some small birds. So I had a chance to really try some slugs and pellets in a breeze.
