I wear size 11 shoes. This mouse is so big, I guess it is the king of mice. Its subordinates were all killed by me, so it came out to find food by itself.

I shoot mice almost every night off two woodpiles at my house. Those are rats. Mice don’t absorb hits like that and flounder around.

I was mowing yesterday and looked down to see a vole laying 'dead still' in the grass...either dead or playing dead. I got off the tractor, located a stick, and placed it right up against the vole. The little critter wrapped its pink paws around the stick! I moved the vole to one of our flower beds, where it promptly disappeared under the mulch. At the end of the day, if it is not bothering me I do not bother it.
