@Nomadic Pirate 66 A “blog” is (world wide) web log, usually a webpage or site. Its purpose it to act as a digital journal where you can post pictures and writing about your daily experiences as you travel.

A “vlog” is pretty similar, but uses videos to accomplish the same thing.

Harleys really slow things down but if you can get a Harley free run it is loads of fun. The turns are so tight even going the speed limit takes some skill in parts. The dragon in on the North Carolina/Tennessee border with some in both states.

Some large sections of the BRP in NC are closed still from the hurricane. Hopefully the storm damage will be repaired this year.

I haven't spent much time in Augusta, but I ride through it a couple times a year, and occasionally stop and eat. Seems like a nice area with a good vibe, and has pretty quick access to very rural areas. Not very far to beaches, not very far to mountains. It's not Hawaii, but the area has a lot to offer.

I'm in Augusta right now to visit and scout for a week, the chance to just ride in different direction has me very excited, in Hawaii was really one road around the island and that was it, same road over and over again.

I have to ask, what are you riding? Sorry if I missed it. Another reason my handle is Hobbyman, I’m a bit of a motorcycle collector although I’m down to 4. I try to stay off the roads these days and spend most of my time on two wheels exploring the thousands of miles of logging roads accessible from only a few short miles from my driveway.

Haha, like stated earlier in this thread, go to Tail of the Dragon, or Hwy 129 near Robbinsville, NC. Starts near Robbinsville, and ends 11 miles later in Tennessee. 318 curves in 11 miles. When you ride it, it's almost comical how curvy it is. Lots of if other great roads (Hwy 28, Cherohala Skyway) in that area too, but it's probably 100 miles from Augusta. Definitely, go up to the mountains and spend some money, the Asheville/Lake Lure area and many thousands of square miles all around were absolutely devastated.

I have an Honda CRF300L with a ton of mods, upgraded suspensions, 550 performance power upgrade, rally tower and everything else from wide footpegs to crushbars, heavy duty skid plate and more then I can mention, tires are Dunlop D606 for the rear and Pirelli MT21 on the front both DOT but barely being 90% off-road and 10% road that's why most of my travels will be off-road or country roads.

I still absolutely love Electric motorcycles and will get more in the future, like the Enduro Stark Varg ( phenomenal ) but for now cannot do a cross country trip with them yet, they will get there and it will be great, absolutely love electric motors in every way.

Also my friend since you are into bikes, a friend of mine offered me his Yamaha Tenere 700 so I put my Honda up for sale even if l did all that work to build it for my intended use, had no takers which really do not bother me since l really like my CRF, here is the classified post :

Hey Steve, good old days them.

I have a number of bows at various stages, an Osage and a Red wood in the final tillering then half dozen Guavas from rough shaped to bending stage but I have no time to work on them anymore
