MP5 oil seems different

I've been using an old bottle of the Beeman formulation. Red MP5 oil but it started to look cloudy so I bought the new version from Air Venture. Seems different (clear liquid with a more volatile smell). I'm sure it is still good stuff but after almost a decade of reaching for my bottle of red oil, it seems strange to see the clear stuff. Just rambling....

Maybe they are making their own for huge profit like how some stores sell home made hand sanitizer.

Still have a partial bottle purchased @ 1980 as part of a boxed beeman cleaning kit. It is Carmel colored.

Still that same high evaporation leaving a sticky slippery residue type oil

Sounds like thickened WD-40.
