Events MRA Baystate Challenge Grand Prix

I'm happy to announce that on June 10th, 11th and 12 we will be hosting our first aafta GP. The match will be held at the oldest running gun club in the nation, Mass Rifle Association https://massrifle.com/

There will be a pistol match friday afternoon. Saturday and Sunday will be shot on two separate courses. Each day 17 lanes with two targets per lane will be shot. All AAFTA divisions will be offered, including an Unlimited/Freestyle class. I've received permission to Add an additional forced position lane. Expect me to use it.

For food we are looking into a caterer/food truck. Being 30min from Boston the options are open to most types of cuisine. I am open to suggestions. Lunch will be served after the matches Saturday and Sunday. 

For those traveling there are multiple options for lodging only 5 minutes from the club. If you're flying into Logan, Mass Rifle Association is only 30 minutes north. You may be able to save on your flight if you use TF Green in Rhode Island. The club is a little more than an hour north from there.

For anyone interested in US/Revolutionary War history you can't get much better than Boston and the surrounding area. Not to mention the city itself for exploring and night life.

Also, there will not be a Crosman event this year so this is an opportunity to shoot in the Northeast. I hope to see everyone there.

Include your air rifle make, model, power plant, pellet and scope used. Include your class to be shot. We will also need your t-shirt size. Don't forget to add if you're shooting pistol.

An email address for paypal, as well as physical address for checks will be sent to competitors once 20 people have signed up. The fee is $95 per shooter.

I am pleased to announce the event will be receiving donations/sponsors from around the airgun community. This will enable us to include event swag for each shooter, a door prize, raffle table and even some goodies for the winners. Once we have more responses I'll make an official post but expect to see items from Air Arms, Patchworm, and a local favorite North East Airguns.

John, Quick question? When you add a additional forced position lane how does that square up to the clubs that offering the minimum required that are hosting GP's? Shouldn't all GP's be as close to the same as possible. Maybe I'm over thinking this but old brains due get rattled much easier. My apology if I am.

I asked for and received permission to up the total number of shots from 120 to 136 and thought it appropriate to add one extra forced position. Don't worry buddy, I won't make you bend the knee. Or will I

As for all GP's being equal the thought never crossed my mind. How boring.

As an incentive to encourage participation anyone registered by April 7 will receive named t-shirts. 

Also, any registration after May 16th will not be guaranteed a shirt or welcome bag.
