Under cloudy skies and a threat of rain I arrived at 7:30 to set up the sight in range. Our first shooter arrived at 8, the rest trickling in over the next 30 minutes. With sight-in finished we held a shooters meeting, then assigned squads and headed to course 2.
As the match began we had a light sprinkle to remind us that weather was about. With the heavy overcast the lighting was flat. This would cause ranging issues for most of us at a target or two. Otherwise there was mostly no wind. Mostly. About an hour into the match a ghost wind was moving about. It got me on a 54yd target, pushing my pellet an inch from my point of aim.
I'll get to the scores in a moment but first need to admit to a turret twisters worst nightmare. After lane 1, which I had to over rotate for my last target, I did not return to 0. I did not catch it before my last shot, and 4th miss of lane 2. Also, the large crow on lane 4 was malfunction due to a water logged string.

Thanks to Pyramid Air for their generosity. It allows us to give a tin of pellets to the first place finishers in each class.
Our next match is the Baystate Challenge in two weeks. After which will be a WFTF style match at the end of July.
