It was cold. Not as bad as our previous match but chilly none the less. The wind wasn't as much of an issue this time and the scores reflect it. The biggest issue for three of four shooters was a drop in trajectory of 1-1.5 mils from 30-55 yards. This has been attributed to the temperature hovering around freezing with high humidity(we do kinda shoot in a swamp). Ranging was difficult at times due to the thick overcast cutting available light in half and cold temps causing ranging errors as well if not diligent.
Overall nothing unexpected for the conditions and great training for having to deal with multiple adverse conditions. And now the scores.
Matt Brackett: WFTF Springer, TX200, Scope? 55/68
Leo Gonsales: WFTF Springer, HW? Scope? 58/68
Matt Sawyer: WFTF Springer, HW97, March 39/68
John Eroh: WFTF PCP, Thomas, Sightron 53/68
There may be a match in January. If so it will be on short notice. Otherwise our next scheduled event is the Blue Balls match on February 12. Check the FT events section for more info.
