Mrod compressor

Doc, in all honesty Mrodair has been rather shady and I would not recommend to anyone of my friends to do business with them. I will guarantee that future support will not exist. Those that know the compressor industry and not just trying to make money are dropping the chinese units for good reason!! If the airtex, daystate, bauer are priced out of reach, buy a shoebox and properly filter it. This is just my opinion, but Mrodair is one of the last places I would put any amount of trust in.

Well AJ,

were not rather shady.
We are rather busy.

You say you can guarantee that future support will not exsist.

Care to back up that statement ?

Im telling you, we are here to stay.

Now we are backing that up.

We are the sole US distributor for this compressor.
" target="_blank"><img src="
We are currently shipping from 15-30 of these units per day to our retail customers.

We have in house service, repair and support.

This is just one of three compressors new to the market and if you think this one is remotely similar to other imports on the market, think again.

Our next HPA compressor, is now tested, proven and already being distributed by many of the top Airgun suppliers in Europe.

It will be released in about three weeks here in the USA by yours truly.

These HPA compressors, have zero in common with those of which you refer to and at a lower price.

"Stay Tuned"

We are just getting warmed up.

Mike, I think some still remember the promises of "parts" for airguns you sold a while back that some buyers seem to have not received?
I hope things go well for you ( for all airgunners) and do understand you are busy, that is the business model you set up for yourself, enjoy it.
Some people ( I am one ) do all the research they can before buying anything, and I do understand how it can be dealing with the public but they are you money and in my opinion should be treated well. Communicate ! Esp. if you've been holding their money a long time. Be nice! Very important, you know if you cant say anything nice, ....... .
I noted on ebay one of the customers you sold a pump to stated "it did not come with a manual" and your response was " you are supposed to be smarter than the pump". Well, I can understand you THINKING that but did you keep in mind, not everyone has used one before, maybe the very first time trying HPA, a person , could, get hurt with a hand pump- maybe forget to, or not be informed of, bleeding the line before unhooking-. A nice friendly attitude does seem to go a long way in airgun ( and accessories ) sales. At least it seems they are now shipping - still haven't seen glowing reviews but folks are likely busy with their lives- I noted you do not provide tracking and someone said all you had was a LONG register receipt from the P.O. which would indeed make it harder ( but we ALL are accustomed to tracking info) to provide tracking. IF you had the U.S.Mail pick up at your business you ( the customer) would save on the price of shipping, and, be provided tracking info. It would also give you more shop time.
Are you now a stocking dealer? Or are your customers still paying up front? True delivery estimates are another thing most airgun folks are used to. And the varmit (???) rifles are in and shipping now?

John

My compressor arrived today. My second purchase from Mrodair. The last one worked out very well. Product was exactly as described. Too soon to say how the compressor is going to work out, but I did get good after purchase support from Michael last time (without asking). This still looks better than a shoebox to me because it does not require another compressor as a first stage.

I hope it works out great for you and please keep us informed about it as you begin to use it..I've been looking at the shoebox for awhile now but just never pulled the trigger because of slow fill times ,the need of additional compressor and moisture filter. I'm not bashing the shoebox at all. I have only heard good things about them and the support behind it.I just prefer an actual compressor .
The mrod compressor with a good moisture filter about 1500$ and the freedom 8 shoebox with compressor, before and after moisture filters puts me close to 2000$ ,lol I gotta find a cheaper hobby.:)

Spysir,

Be specific, what parts are you talking about.

if you are referring to the CP-1 we sent the trigger screws to everyone, the front sight screw was not the "fix"reported on the forums.

Some owners got carried away with rear sight adjustment, and no sight issues have been reported since and all CP-1 pistols include not only the trigger screws installed, but come with a free trigger job at no extra charge.

If your going to put t out there, put it out there.

As for the eBay ad, this was a very specific pump, the Huben 350k for filling above 4500 and was broken, in fact destroyed by the buyer and then returned.

Never was it un hooked as you speculate to above.

Our newest standard 4500psi Handpump, is doing well so far and as usual at a very attractive price point.

When speaking in a public forum, having all the facts is kind of important and unfortunately not always available from the public, when it comes to a new product.

many of our products are judged, and reported on, before ever entering the US, based on others experiences in the past with other brands and types that may or may not even be similar.

Not that all the new compressors so far are perfect. Two damaged in shipping, one had oil in the cylinders from improper handling and one had a fan missing.

All 3 are being repaired, returned, replaced at no charge as we speak.

After two years in the business, I guess if that's all we have negative, I can accept that.

if you are a customer yourself and have an issue yourself, I would be glad to help you.

Attempting to "fix" others possible or probable issues, I'm afraid I cannot assist you with.

As for the question "Are we a stocking Distributor"

We are the sole US Distributor for our AirMax product line.

We offer presales on products after our subcontractors announce they are planning to manufacture them.

Then, we go the extra step to import samples and test the product to report any changes we would like to have for our US customers and have them installed and/or supplied to us before we import and sell them.

Most of our products are sold out of the first production runs before they even reach the US, so keeping them in stock at all times is not possible. They simply do not make enough fast enough in many cases.

Tomorrow, there are over 1900 airguns scheduled to arrive and less than 600 of those will remain on the shelf if that gives you an indication.

No doubt the post you have made, will delay our shipping at least one day, by the number of calls and emails I will receive asking questions generated by your comments.

It is now about 7pm and we have just shipped the last of the exsisting orders of the new AirMax extreme compressors. (19 today)

We do still have some of these in stock, on the shelf with more on the way, as well as another real compressor we have prototyped and had manufactured for the AirMax product line.

Those such as yourself, that assume we will not be around long, are very much mistaken.

Looking at the shape and form of the compressor, i'd say it is a similar type (maybe even produced in the same factory) as the one which is selling like icecream in europe. Main importer is the Bascule. He has a youtube vid up as well. If the new compressor is the same as 'our' new type, it has some options the origional did not have. Automatic shut off when required pressure is reached etc.

This is the youtube vid:

No Sir, we already have the auto shutoff version, actually we have both versions of that compressor in stock and on the shelf right now.

The next unit is different, but were going to torture test it a bit more before release.

not giving details yet, but it is a slower compressor and not designed for tanks.

This is one unit, we will be releasing first most likely.

from the looks of things its about 2 weeks out.

I have tried to tell the guys over here how successful our new compressors have already been in Europe.

The AirMax Extreme, is made for Mrodair and we have greatly understated its capability.

Now that our customers are getting these in their hands, they can report this for everyone to see.

They are going to be very difficult to keep in stock for now.

What kind of service life are you expecting to get from these compressors before major rebuild? 100 hours, 500 hours or more? And how much will a rebuild cost? Like changing pistons and piston rings?

Can you tell are those compressors sold by Luchtbuks coming from the same manufacturer as yours? I'm in Europe and I need to find a compressor running on 220V.

Mrodair – you were not granted permission to advertise on Airgun Nation. I made it clear that you were not to promote your products while we were deliberating your request. Your responses within these threads are not helping your case. Shouldn't you be focussing on your customer service and getting all of the specs onto your website? Your products & your customers should speak for themselves.
