Mrod MDRL stock refinished

Got done refinishing my MDRL stock for my .25 Mrod. Stripping the original coating was a dirty mess but the end results are worth it.

WOW! you did a great job getting that poplar to pop. Did you layer different color stains.

i used a "kona wood" stain i found at home depot. Was originally wanting to do a hunter green stain like i did on a Peavey bass guitar many years ago.

Very nice, all this time I tought the MDRL is a composite. How hard was it to set up the trigger?

The Mad Dog site says its made of poplar, but they really should make it an option for their stocks to be stained in different colors. As for the trigger set up it's not really hard to do. The trickiest part i think is setting the length of the rods and the frame position that goes on the air cylinder. But once set up its hard to tell that its linked to the original trigger group. Heres a before shot of the gun.
