MTC Viper Connect Scope

"Michael"Has some great features. One thing that I dislike is the limited mounting options. I suggest eliminating the illuminated reticle / adjustments so that shooters can utilize more mounting options.
I have the connect mounted to my bobcat. I used 2 Mounts up front. Got the BKL 300 series. The scope is superb but does run out of clicks at 150 yards. Any idea if I can use the fx no limits mounts on them? Since both the mounts are upfront on the connect scope not sure if I'll get the same kinda movement which the no limits are capable of.

Thanks, I looked at that version as well. The tube is too small and it still doesn't address the mounting issue. Traditionally I like to use one scope ring in front, and one in the rear. But I guess the limiting factor is the short eye relief. The "Connect Mount" is nice but it doesn't look like it would work on certain airguns with short rails. Perhaps you could make a longer connect mount? I think the lack of mounting options is turning people off. Also it is quite heavy for such a compact scope; eliminating the illuminated reticle & adjustment knobs would decrease the weight, allow for better mounting options, and reduce the cost.

Thats my 2 cents, Thanks for listening.

Mike I wish I could do metal work like that. I walked into a machine shop and told them what I wanted. The Machinist cut them for me in 5 minutes for cash during his lunch break. I was so envious of his skill.

If you do this project do you mind throwing a photo up, I would like to see how the offset interacts with your eye. I might do this project on a gun with a longer LOP than the Lelya so the offset might be a good option.

Keyster – Nice idea!

Q: It looks like you cut the bottom of the modified ring in the scopes saddle. What was the reason?

Normally I have to shim the rear ring to get my scopes to be optically centered at my zero – 26 yards. I would think if someone wanted to shoot at 150 yards and not run out of elevation adjustment that you would lower the front ring and raise the rear.

Am I missing something? - KZ
