Would love to hear members thoughts on this scope and the Mueller name.
I'm specifically interested in it for Field Target. How well does it range? How clear is it, compared to xyz? Are the turrets repeatable enough to be confidently used? Is the mil dot reticle too thick, too thin, etc? Dark and dim to look through or nice and bright? Etc etc.
How about Mueller in general? I could find some comments online that it's Japanese glass, but maybe manufactured in China....? Are Mueller's just another low budget Chinese scope or high quality, well respected scopes? Is Mueller more Leapers-like or Weaver-like?
I asked a good friend who's been involved with shooting and hunting since before I was born what he knew about Mueller and all he knew was that they've been around a long time. With all the flash in the pan Chinese scope companies that I've seen come and go in the few years that I've been into airguns, having been around a while seems like a good thing.
I see that ScopeWerks has a custom side wheel for it, which suggests that somebody somewhere thought it was a good Field Target scope. I like the price and the size and the fact that it doesn't weigh 30+ ounces and can focus down to 10 yards. I would greatly appreciate any experiences and or opinions on the scope and company, from an airgun specific audience.
