This evening about 7:30 I was casually plinking off my back deck, when I hear a ruckus and see my dog Riley killing this poor grey. I don’t know how Riley managed it as he has a very jingly collar. I give all the gray and red squirrels a pass unless they become known pest on the property. Riley did not get the memo... he seems sheepish about the kill.

He just wanted to play and looks like that squirrel simply dropped dead from a heart attack being clutched in the jaws of a perceived beast. POST mortem probably won't hint at any type of physical trauma. Yo!

Ive thought my dog was going to break her neck plowing into a tree after them, never connected though. She has taught me that woodchucks can climb trees though.

Do you have a license to own that war machine? It's amazing how innocent the eyes of a trained killer can look! For real, though, that is so cool. Maybe he thinks you've been shooting at the squirrels and missing, and was just trying to show you how it's done? Good boy, Riley!

Dogs are lots of fun, you definitely have a great one. I actually prefer smaller dogs now, easier to travel with, eat less and are able to get places some larger breeds can't.

Dad HELP!! i was playing with this squirrel and it just stopped moving.
