Mutant love...

I posted a few weeks back about potentially buying a Taipan Mutant Standard, I ended up buying one from Talon Tunes the same day as my post and received it about a week later. In short, I am very, very impressed with everything about this little airgun. I recently sold a Daystate Airwolf MCT and was concerned that I would be "let down" by the quality of the mutant. Nope. It may not be 100% of the Daystate, but it's close. My only gripe is the stock.... its not too easy on the eyes although it does the trick. I cleaned the barrel, charged the tank and zeroed the rifle. After one magazine, here is what happened for the next 3 magazines at 30 yards. (36 shots - Six groups of 6-shots each shooting off a front and rear bag. Chronoed at 905 FPS avg. for 12 shots) The bottom group directly below the lower, center target is a full magazine of 12 shots.

I cant wait to take this thing out hunting!!!

"SocalTrail"I can't wait to stretch it out to 50 and 100. My local range closed for renovations until the end of the month so I'm stuck with my 30 yard range in the backyard. I'll put a pic of the rifle up later this eve.

If the 25 mutant is anything like this one, I'm in!
Shot mine once the other day at 100 - 5 shots 1.75" c-t-c off a sand bag. I'm sure with some time at 100 I could do better.
