Mutant shorty with a Smooth twist barrel crony/shot string

Machine and tested today, great shot count for a little guy. only tested for 25y, need range time at longer distance. all 12 shot are touching @ 25y. with the Logun QGS LDC its quieter then a Prod. I gave her a high mirror polish on the whole length of smooth bore and twist with 14,000 diamond past. the stock has a bull dog finish. even with the choke its faster then the none choke OEM barrel that had issue with accuracy. was a .30 barrel single shot before but love using the mag on the .22--best mag system I seen, now a awesome BP with the smooth twist barrel.

just love looking at the Swiss movement of the trigger group. no other BP come close. half of the breech block housing is taken up by the trigger components.




Also the mutant is the only BP that use roller brass bushing on the cocking lever---so smooth!

What is the length of the barrel & volume of the air tube?

Michael, don't know the exact Volume on the tube, I can only compare with the FX 180cc AT. the reg and reg air -chamber taking up 1/4 of the tube. The ST barrel is 12"

Man, that is awesome. I already know the Mutant standard well. I've wanted a short for a bit now. Bro, you just put together a super trick double throw down short here. Love it.

without adjusting the reg pressure to increase the speed, I added a 55g brass weight just to see if the Hammer spring wasn't strong enough---> wow the speed went up to 855fps from 837fps with 18g. 

brass weight has a OD of 10.88mm, 5.70MM thick and used a drill bit of 6.96mm. OD is critical if to large it will hit the stop pin and to thick the spring will not be on the spring guide. wasn't noted before this mutant has a VS rod made from titanium that I machined.

Ok Ernest, now the $64,000 question. What groups are you getting at longer range from the smooth twist (I assume FX) barell?

only tested at 30y so far, all 12 shots are touching, waiting for free time to test longer range.




just as accurate as my LW .20 cal shooting the 13g at 900fps cricket at same range. this .20 groups dime size at 50Y. yes she has .20 cal mags in the photo.
