So it's been over a year coming. Doug Noble got it going. Shoots a 24.5gr @ 1213fps/80fpe. It is a MONSTER!

Nice...what valve is using..? How long is the tj liner ? ...the guy who makes the varmint knocker if you look at his Instagram page haven some great custom 172 boat tails .. I think it was for a Canada client..maybe he sells it buy special order..

Thanks. Modified stock valve, Green Mountain barrel---1.06" OD, Dale is sending me some rounds to test. I shoot the 24, 24.5 and 32 grain slugs.

Just got a week and a half ago. Doesn't seem to be leading up to bad...I ran a swab thru after a shoot. IDK the exact BC Z on the slugs. So far accuracy seems to be getting tighter. Still messing with different slugs. But about .75" at 100 yards and getting better.

-- My .223 -- 30" tj 1--12 twist , barrel talon is almost done..will post a few pics one is finish...I have a Doug valve but fear that it would be to much for .223 I buy a rimlock valve just in case...the I deal would be a smaller custom top hat from Doug..but let's finish first n se how it works..worst case scenario I have the excuse for a 7mm build because is irresponsible have a Doug valve laying around ---

That is one powerful gun...I suppose it sounds like a .22 RF at that supersonic MV doesn't it?
What kind of precision are you getting at these velocities?
Have you shot 100 Meters/yards or farther?

Yes, that is very irresponsible to leave a Noble valve laying around. Can't wait to see your build.

Depending on pressure and power wheel setting, I'm seeing 1200+ - 1100fps with 24, 24.5 and 32 grain slugs. It's very loud without the Koi. I've taken most P-Dawgs at 100yds, but has a laser shot on a P-Dawg at 160 that was one of the best headshots I've ever had.

80 ft/ibs in .172cal. New level in this bore. I have thought a 40-50 ft/ibs with a 25grain bullet would be something...but it ain`t...

The Red laser.......Man.....look at those "Death Darts"..........
........Yeah....probably something like that. Death-Darts.....or "Death Needles".....you could call them the "Kavorkians".....
That shooting mat is reminding me about that Midway USA one I was eyeing up....Starlings and Crows land in the fields when they are plowed. Nice shots. Those would be long ones...not far above ground either...would be a cool sight picture.....That is a goal of mine. For sure. Just have to put a rifle plan together.....

That is one cool build! Been considering 172cal too but Im kinda sitting back due really limited ammount of molds available and with my luck none of them would work lol.
