80 ft/ibs in .172cal. New level in this bore. I have thought a 40-50 ft/ibs with a 25grain bullet would be something...but it ain`t...

That shooting mat is reminding me about that Midway USA one I was eyeing up....Starlings and Crows land in the fields when they are plowed. Nice shots. Those would be long ones...not far above ground either...would be a cool sight picture.....That is a goal of mine. For sure. Just have to put a rifle plan together.....

Totally missed your reply.. 3 if thats alot and hp versions and thats about it. Its so limited you kinda play lottery do you get something that works with one of those or do you need a new barrel. Just not ideal when you can go 224cal and have better BC and more options what to feed and higher BC to PSI required. 172surely is cool.

Monkeydad1969 ... I asked Doug for a 172 valve setup..as soon I have it here..I do the build..the more people are in better possibilities for custom molds to be ordered..

If someone wants a .224 today...it will be in the same position trying to find molds available..NOE has the best selection on .224 bullet molds..I been trying the Last year to buy some..never available arcenal have 2 . Usable for pcps.. mp molds have 1 .. acurate molds 0 ..n that leaves you with Ebay...good luck trying to bid molds these days especially. 22 .. 25 n 30 ..

I received my 172 mold last week from NOE as well as a new magazine needed to get them to fit in the Impact. That sure is a lot of power for the tiny bullets. I would imagine that they explode on impact on soft tissue. With the amount of bullets available now in the smaller calibers , my quarter bores sure don’t see a whole lot of action these days .

Yup..Hobbyman2007 .. since I don't really hunt only recreational long range shootin..I stopped at 308..really enjoy small calibers better..lead Last longer..

Well maybe Im lucky then that we have guy here who casts and collects molds and he have like 60different 22cals. It shouldnt be too hard to contact noe and order mold and pay..

In 22 cal I have 28 different bullet molds..20 in .257 16 in 308 ..just want to have a few new ones...in NOE website almost all appears sold out..I send a email few months ago and it said soon...he didn't said place a order and when is available I shipped...like in the arcenal page that you could order n they shipped in 6 week..but I will call then n see if I could place a order..not every one thinking in 224 cal - have a friend with a collection of molds..I hate to ask for things I always purchase my own..

If is sold out .. there is not a way to put it in your cart ..you have to wait until it becomes available in order to purchase..like he said soon ..
