My backyard range

I’ve been doing some work around the house and I was tired of the sand and weeds in the backyard. I had to fill some holes in the backyard and I was left with a pile of dirt and the first thought that popped into my mind was “backstop” so I had my friend make me one. We had to lay some concrete and my friend was smart enough to shovel the grass into one foot squares and used that to cover the mound. Some rain and a month later and the mound looks great. Shooting from where I set the tripod I get a good 20 yard range. It’s not much but it works.

Thanks guys. The boy is an American Brittany, no spaniel, he’s a pointer. He just had dental cleaning done. I’m in Central Florida, that’s Lake Panasoffkee in the back.

Here you go Guayoshisan I got you some pictures. This weekend was the first time shooting the rifle. I got it two months ago and sent it to David at AirgunWerks and he did his stuff. It’s set up for the Crossman Premiers 14 grainers and it loves them. As you can see the groups are lousy but that’s me rocking from side to side. The pellets land wherever the crosshairs are at at the time you pull the trigger. I’m sure with a better shooter you can stack the pellets. Oh by the way, this is a 9 pound rifle without the scope.

It’s weird how the pictures download in a different order.

That rifle is still on my "to buy" list. Yours is in excellent condition.

I very much prefer bolt action to almost any of the lever designs. They are simple and robust.

Nice range. Mine is just 25 yrds all I can stretch out back. Gotta love s range in the yard. Daily trigger time is fantastic.

Thanks. I am really a paper target guy as well. Love getting those tight 5 shot groups. It’s nice to smack steel to mix it up though
