Today was the last match of the season at CAG and so we call it a State's match as it's supposed to bring in all club members and those from other state's. The match is typically the most difficult of the season as well. I don't take notes during the match but it's safe to say half or more targets were past 40yd.
The weather started sunny and chilly slowly changing over to cloudy and slightly warmer.
We had our largest attendance with 28 shooters, some of them new or first time shooter's. All walked away with a smile and interest in shooting again.
We also had two observer's from the Rockville Fish and Game Club in Vernon Conn. They will be holding their first public match next weekend and wanted to pick up some pointers.
Oh on a good note Todd Banks showed up after an almost two year break from Field Target. I hope to see him more often in the future. Thank's for attending Todd.
The match ended, scores were tallied and we all went inside for Pizza and snacks. Awards were given out and the course was broken down. With the field cleaned and equipment packed away for the winter(maybe) the season at CAG is over.
I have two more matches to attend next month then it's bresk time for FT. No worries as I'll start shooting 50' smallbore(rimfire .22) next month. I set up my gun to mimic my FT rifle. It runs every week from November into April. Perfect to keep in practice.
Last I'd like to thank Leo Gonsales for setting up the match. Ron Dumond for hosting on his property and all the shooter's who attended.
