My Diana 48 arrived today!

I bought it from a fellow AGN member. It has a Vortek PG3 tune kit in it that was installed by John of PA. I put a Hawke 3-9x40 Vantage Scope on it and it didn't take long to zero it. I have a bunch of those Splatterburst Targets and by the time I was finished, it was punching out the little red areas consistently. Tomorrow I'm going to shoot it from 30 and 40 yards to see how well it groups.

I chronied the D48 and here are the results: It shot 10 Crossman Premier 14.3 gr domed pellets at an average speed of 750.6 fps, producing an average fpe of 17.89 ft-lbs.. Ha, I weighed the 10 pellets and not a single one weighed 14.3 gr. The heaviest was 14.4 gr, the lightest was 14.0 gr - but they did average out to 14.3 gr.

I don't know what to expect out of it, but I'm happy. Especially, with its accuracy. I'm looking forward to shooting it some more tomorrow. And it wasn't too hard to cock - though right now, my right arm is a tad sore.

Hard to beat a Diana 48!!! I sold mine years ago like a dummy!!! M48SL very rare.

Congrats. Nice looking gun.

I’m down to one springer and it’s a .25cal Diana 52 w/PG2 kit tuned by John in PA. That man knows his Diana’s. Mine shoots 25.4gr at about 660fps 24 ft-lbs. Absolutely fantastic squirrel gun. I’ve got a real soft spot for side levers.

I’ve always liked the D48 platform. They really respond nicely to drop-in kits. Pretty smooth for the power they make.
