Brocock/BRK My Digs are now Haunted.

My new BRK Ghost Compact Plus in .22 arrived about 90 minutes ago.

I am very pleased with the lighter weight, build quality, and function of this rifle.

I put a Hawk 2x7 on it and sighted in at 25 yards (18.29 JSB). I put two mags through the rifle. The reg was at 250 bar when I received it. After two mags it was down to 200. I have to get the readers on to see what the reg pressure is set on. However, I'm not a tinkerer so I don't have intentions to fool with that. Then I thought the gun deserves better glass, so I put the best scope I've owned (March Compact) on it. Of course now I have to sight it in again. I ordered some 25 grain Hades from Pyramid Air just now because all I have are LOTS of 18 and 15 grain .22 pellets.

I also ordered some Pic rail sling swivels to hang a sling from. I have a DFL RYU moderator (.25) I bought for Taipan Vet 2 700MM, but I'm waiting on an adaptor to fit it to my TV barrel. I might put it on the Ghost to see if the sound change is dramatic. If not, the un-moderated barrel is just fine and I'll forgo OAL to the rifle.

I can see a .30 or .25 barrel, probe, & mag in my future. However, I never intend to hunt anything other than tree squirrels with it.

I'll get the chronograph going in the near future and do some power wheel testing to see what the rifle likes best with the incoming Hades.

Shot 24.39 domed pellets (HN) over FX Crony today. Had to relearn how to use the chronograph. Average is 880FPS for about 42 FPE. Power week as set at factor at Max. Reg pressure also factory 145. Refill 480cc tank at 150 Bar to 250 bar on GS SC3-I took 4 minutes and 30 seconds.

By the way shoots. 18 JSB Exacts at 1020 FPS.

I haven't kept super close tract of shots per fill but it is about 5 mags (55 shots) from 250 down to 150.

I'm pleased. This rifle shoots 50% harder than either my AA 510 and Steyr Hunter 5 Auto from a few years ago...also were both .22.

Can't wait to hit the squirrel woods! I have some JSB 24.39 pellets coming from PA tomorrow's mail. I have several tins of 15 and 18 grain pellets (.22). I may just save these for my TX200 because it shoots them well.

Thinking about a digital gauge, but not urgent because I know where the two reg marks are that I pay attention too. Thinking also about a protective sleeve (neoprene?) for the bottle. I may should have bought a bottle clamp to hang a picatinney sling swivel from to extend the span of the sling for better, closer to the back shoulder carry. I forgot they existed.

My ( New to me ) BRK Ghost Silver Edition .25cal HP is due here on Monday.

Can't wait to check it out. I'm also considering .22 and/or .177 barrel(s).
Ghost arrived today!! Very, very (20mph) windy day but added a moderator, mounted a scope, loaded up some 26.54gn Hades and started shootin'. Trigger is a bit heavy for my liking so it'll need to be adjusted. I prolly shot a couple hundred rounds including some 25.39gn JSB's.
Right out of the box I sent 40 Hades over the chrony.
Wheel set to Max
Forgot to check the reg pressure
High 926
Low 907
Avg 914
Spread 19
SD 5.1
The accuracy at 35yds was as expected.... impeccable!! I'm surrounded by woods so there are plenty of twigs to shoot off of branches.

So far, absolutely love this rifle!!
