friends I have a problem with the edgun r5m, when pulling back the loading lever does not prepare the trigger and for obvious reasons it does not fire. What could it be ?

Do you know how to cock the gun? (Sorry just couldn't resist)
You have to give it a quick hard deliberate tug and be sure your barrel isn't double loaded with pellets already. Be sure to remove the magazibe first. Try cocking from the other opposite side lever instead if it still doesn't catch.
Could also possibly be that the trigger may be set too light and only needs adjustment a little heavier IMHO...

Yeah, if the trigger is set too light it will not engage the sear. Therefore the lever won't cock and set the trigger.Easy fix.

Or was the hammer spring adjusted too tight? What was done to the gun prior to this issue arising?

I really haven't touched anything on the edgun. the rifle just arrived I bought it from an AGN colleague

Ok now you need to check the two most likely things.
trigger too light and hammer spring too compressed

Or the over travel screw is too far in.
Back out the overtravel screw to take it out of play. Take it out a full turn. This is the screw on the muzzle side of the trigger.

Order a replacement from Edgun West.
I am not sure if thoroughly cleaning the parts and using a good epoxy will hold but might be worth trying if the replacement part is going to take a long time.

Hi All,
I went to the Edgun West site. The broken valve part shown above looks like the ones shown as a Leshiy part? Does Edgun West have the wrong photos with the parts or does the OP have a Leshiy valve in an R5M?

The look similar. I ended up with a Lelya/Matador poppet by mistake some time ago.
As I recall the metal stem was longer and the plastic spring guide end was shorter than the stock Leshiy part.

i think that stem is made by huma i dont think it is the original edgun. Due to the waiting time a good friend from my city made it.
